Miami Redhawks Undefeated Season

Featured Replies

If the committee keeps out a 31-1 MAC team just to add in a middle of the pack 19-11 Big 10, 12, ACC or SEC team, then they might as well cut it down to maybe 24 teams and do it CFP style.   If you aren't in a Power 4 conference, just forget it.

They will likely get in because they’re too chicken to go against the court of public opinion, further illustrating the selection process is a complete and total farce.

I'll be the first to admit it, I was wrong about Miami. However, I feel like Texas will get them in the play in game.

Miami plays SMU.

I assume SMU will win the play-in game, but this is much more compelling than Auburn or whatever other 10th-place power school team that would make it over them. And look, I totally get the metric argument. And fundamentally, I am with that sentiment. But it's college basketball. The first weekend of the tournament is built on storylines and entertainment, not threats to win it all. If I were the Sports Tsar, the play-in games would be strictly based on entertainment value. The "Last 4" wouldn't exist. It would be 8 teams competing for all 4 of the 11 seeds.

And to be frank, if you were rooting for Auburn to make it in over Miami (OH), that means you were rooting for Steven Pearl, and by extension, Bruce Pearl. This was the karma Gods working their magic for how they shadily treated their transfer of power. Heck with those dudes.

Yes, sir I noticed that right after I hit submit.

Is the Miami and SMU game one of the biggest in the history of the play in games? I was watching the pregame show for tonight's game and there is a controversy brewing CBS is reporting that SMU issued a tweet that one of their best players BJ Edwards whose has been out for a couple of weeks with a bad lower leg injury would be returning for the NCAA tournament. Then tournament chair in talking to CBS on Sunday evening that SMU was the last team in and it was due to SMU announcing that Edwards would be back. The pregame show this evening said now SMU is listing Edwards as questionable. They have to list his status 2 hours before the game and the said they should have the decision at halftime of the first game Lehigh and Prairie View A&M. Stay tuned if the say he is out it should be great tv to see Bruce Pearl's reaction.

The status of a player shouldn't have any part in it.

I am excited to watch the game tonight.

Let's go Redhawks!!

I agree 100% but the tournament chair had said on Sunday his returning played a part in them getting in and it was just announced that he is out and won't be playing.

Which is my main beef with March Madness and the CFB playoffs.  No more old gray beards in smoke filled rooms deciding who gets in, and who doesn't, let the math, math..

I hope that they hang on for the win.
