Raceland Rams ?

Jacob Waller (QB /JR) 1,707 Passing Yards with 26 Touchdowns and 4 INTs./ 256 yards rushing yards and 2 Touchdowns./ 51-55 PATs + 3-4 Fields Made.

Kentucky Country Day ?

Caden Long (QB/SR) 810 Passing Yards 16 Touchdowns and 2 INTs./ 207 rushing yards and 7 Touchdowns.

Long does a great job running KCD's offense, but the Rams appear to have the edge behind center. Waller is a smooth operator in his own right and he doubles as one of the better place kickers in 1A.

The 3 Headed Monsters

Raceland Rams ?

Landon Stiltner (RB /JR) 1,382 Rushing Yards and 22 Touchdowns. 55 Receiving Yards and 1 Touchdown.

Shannon Marushi (RB/LB/SR) 757 Rushing Yards and 7 Touchdowns. 129 Receiving Yards and 4 Touchdowns. 53 Total Tackles. 1 Quarterback Sack.

Jonah Arnett (RB/DB/JR) 545 Rushing Yards and 9 Touchdowns. 204 Receiving Yards and 5 Touchdowns. 75 Total Tackles. 1 INT.

Kentucky Country Day ?

Parker Rudolph (RB/SR)  1,018 Rushing Yards and 15 Touchdowns. 8 Receiving Yards and 1 Touchdown.

Tyler Wilson (RB/SR)  916 Rushing Yards and 16 Touchdowns. 235 Receiving Yards and 5 Touchdowns.

Nic Doster (RB/ATH/JR) 335 Rushing Yards and 4 Touchdowns. 16 Total Tackles. 1 INT.

Here’s something you don’t hear everyday: KCD had to move yesterdays and this mornings practice to CAL due to higher ups over the athletic department saying their turf field with snow “would damage it” if they practiced on it. Also, KCD refused to cancel school on Friday, which would never happen at schools like Pikeville, Raceland, etc. Examples like this are why Coach Jones deserves all of the credit in the world for getting KCD back to Kroger Field.

Pregame starts at 11:30 AM.

Have the higher ups been this way all year with the football team? Lame excuse for the field turf issue, and extremely lame to not let kids off excused if so.

I was curious about something with these 1A schools that play at Noon. Do they go to Lexington the night before and stay, or load a bus super early and go the morning of? I guess for these two teams the drive is only about 1 and a half hours, but for a school like Pikeville, do they go the night before?

And that is why I will be rooting for Raceland today at Kroger Field.

I wonder what the field conditions are? I know it’s turf but is the field cleared off or will it have snow on it.

Anyone got a radio station covering this one? I would like to listen to this one while I’m working and delivering the wonderful people of Breathitt Counties Mail and Amazon.
