Pikeville H.S. field. I also love the stadium at the Cocoa Expo in Florida. Boyd Co. has a great H.S. field as well!

You would think so with all the KY teams playing there on spring break we could hold the 16th regional Tourney there!

Raceland, Ashland, Russell, Boyd Co., Greenup Co., Rose Hill,

Not to mention Scott Co., East and West Jessamine, Ballard,Williamstown, It is KY south acout 17 hours!

Boyd's field is nice.

Greenup going to Coco this year? Is this a first?

Corbin and Christian Co. are two of the nicer ones I have seen.

East Carter has a nice field... short dimensions but great field... I loved playing on that field

IF bracken Co. would actually take care of their field it would be nice, other than the short fences.

They will never keep it nice because it doubles as practice field for football.

Henry Co. has a nice field.

corbins field is nice. whitley has a really nice field too

In nky it would be St. Henry and Campbell County

:thumb: It's turf grass; not natural grass, with natural dirt around home plate and the pitchers mounds and dirt colored turf grass down the base paths and the infield.

 

There won't be many homeruns hit out of this park! If there is, the kid will likely get drafted out of High School and never make it to college. It's 340 down the lines and 405 in Center field. Outfielders will need to run a 4.5 - 40 or better to cover that much ground in a timely fashion. :jump:

 

Opening day is Monday, March 26, @ 5:30 PM, against Meade Co.

Birdie- Only 20 more days until opening day. I read your comments about Shelby County and Eastern. I agree with your assessment. Let's not forget about Ballard. I saw a kid hit a bunt last year that rolled up against the cut in the grass out in front of the plate and it bounced back!!

As to where I don't like. Manual. I saw someone hit a 400 foot double there over the left field wall that landed in the middle of the football field. Wacky rules with the lightpost in play in left and center.

I love Derby City also. Nice press box and set up.

Gallatin County will play it's first full season on their new field. Photos soon!!
