Do you boo players or the coaching staffs
I feel booing or abusing anyone at any level is inexcusable because everyone goes out there to do there best, this goes for players, coaches, and officials, so we need to encourage or say nothing at all.

East Carter now open
Donald Damron was and still is a class act and he did a great job building a program basically from scratch and he has taught us all (myself included) a very important lesson that sports aren't nearly as important as family and your church. Donald has taken on not only a principal's job but also he has three young kids, and a father who is battling cancer, and he is doing what is best for the family as well as to help lighten the load at his church in his dad's absence. Donald always set a great example with his four F of life Faith, Family, Friends and Football and he lived that out every day for his players to see.

Coaching staffs that have stayed together the longest?
If you want continuity look at the West Carter staff, with several of the coaches having been there since the program got started in the mid to late 70's.

Best Pitching Instructors
He also has Jason Davis who was a college pitcher, and he knows the game pretty well.

Time to class basketball?
I was reading recently that over 25,000 people were in attendance at the Indiana State Championships this year. Sounds like something is right about what they have done. Imagine how great it would be to see schools like East Carter and Rowan Co, i.e. have a chance to win a state title.

16th Region Draw
Why should Ashland watch out for Rowan Co, Rowan still has to get by East Carter.

Elliott Co. vs East Carter
If the shots are falling East 56- Elliott Co. 52

Coaches and the Sweet Sixteen.
Success is measured differently at different schools, an occasional regional tournament appearance is great at some schools but a sign of regression at a school like Lex Cath. I think you measure success as a coach by getting all you can out of all you have.

Why is it that you love high school football so much?
I think the great thing about high school football is the fact that it brings a community together, when they get together late on Thursday nights and get the field ready for the game the next day. It is the way that you can see the anticipation and nervousness on the teams face as they go through pre- game and then seeing them put it all together on the field and most importantly the camraderie that comes with the 2 a days in the summer and the hours spent working hard in the weightroom.

Tyler Zornes' buzzer beater in Regional Finals
What is Tyler Zornes doing now? Did he play college ball?

Who has the nicest field in the state?
East Carter has a nice field... short dimensions but great field... I loved playing on that field

Does success at the freshman and JV level equal success at Varsity level?
I think it is important at the Freshmen and Junior Varsity level that coaches worry less about winning, and more about developing their kids. The hallways are filled with great athletes who were late bloomers but quit their sport due to lack of playing time as an underclassmen. I also feel that if you are able to do that and still have success on the field then that is a sign of great things to come.
