highschoolsportsfan Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 This was a game of 2 halves. 15-11 East at halftime, then it was like an offensive explosion in the second half. Great game! Hate to see a team lose in a game like this. Johnson had 24 points to lead East. Very physical game. Haney fouled out with about 3 minutes to go in regulation. Henderson and Montgomery fouled out later in regulation. Morgan had 2 chances at the end, missed a pretty good look at a 3 for the win and missed a put back. I was impressed with Brandon Ferguson who led Morgan with 16 points. Good athlete! The one odd stat in this game is that East only hit 1 three point bucket. And that came at the end of the first half to give them the 4 point half time cusion.
RA09 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Johnson carried East early but it was the play of Tyler Jackson in the closing minutes that kept East close. Made several big plays on offense and defense.

Remember East Carter has beat Elliott County once this year. If my memory serves it was on Elliott Counties home floor. Hopefully it will be a great game.
BogeyMan Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 They split close games at Elliott before Christmas and Elliott won in a blowout later at East Carter. When these two teams play anything can happen regardless of the regular season scores.
