Just heard that Donald Damron head coach for the past six seasons just was hired as principal and the head job is open. Who is likely to apply and may get this job?

Anyone in the program have a chance of moving up?

I was told it would be someone outside of the program.

Makes you wonder if the same mystery coach from seky who applied for Morgan Co. will apply?

I don't know who told you that, but there haven't even been any applications filed yet! I am not saying it will be from within or without, but I would assume Coach Aaron Baldwin will apply. Not sure who else will apply. Pros and cons about the job. Great tradition (6 consecutive playoff appearances) solid returning players. Facilities are terrible and support from Central Office is not the best. However, with Coach Damron now becoming the new principal, things may change with support.

Short time to get ready for the job, but Coach Damron has his guys ready for summer ball. This will be interesting to see who they hire. Maybe even more interesting to see who applies.

Congratulations to Donald in his new position. Right man for that job. IMO he has left the program in pretty good shape. Good luck to whomever is next. And my guess is the GR is correct and that there will be much support from the principal as we speak!

But I have been told of some people that they are going after. Some in staff, some not.

Donald Damron was and still is a class act and he did a great job building a program basically from scratch and he has taught us all (myself included) a very important lesson that sports aren't nearly as important as family and your church. Donald has taken on not only a principal's job but also he has three young kids, and a father who is battling cancer, and he is doing what is best for the family as well as to help lighten the load at his church in his dad's absence. Donald always set a great example with his four F of life Faith, Family, Friends and Football and he lived that out every day for his players to see.

Wasn't he (Damron) the HC at Kentucy Christian Univ??

Were they set to begin this fall??

You're thinking of Dane, not Donald.

Who..... TJ?

Would be a great choice in my opinion to get TJ....Hard working and durable, the kind of coach you want to keep your program built up.
