Pleasure Ridge Park, followed closely by Henderson County, Pulaski County, St. Henry and Boyd County, although Boyd could use a little work now. Those are the recent ones that seem to look the best.

 

I have heard the same from some of the locals. They said the Infield was exceptionally rough.

Haven't seen them all, but Corbin is the nicest I've seen.

Is that turf or grass? I can't really tell to be honest. I am assuming that is St. X's new field. The fence in front of the dugout has to be there by KHSAA rule - it stinks but it is a rule.

 

If this field is turf that makes two fields that I know of in the state (other one being Pikeville) that high schools use. Are there anymore than this?

 

By the way Pikeville's field is pretty nice but around it could use some work.

:thumb: It's turf grass; not natural grass, with natural dirt around home plate and the pitchers mounds and dirt colored turf grass down the base paths and the infield.

 

There won't be many homeruns hit out of this park! If there is, the kid will likely get drafted out of High School and never make it to college. It's 340 down the lines and 405 in Center field. Outfielders will need to run a 4.5 - 40 or better to cover that much ground in a timely fashion. :jump:

I like Henry Clay and Tates Creek. Also Mercer County's is unique with the hill in center, and Campbell County is a very nice setup.

i know bulldog will agree with me. I love playing at Tates Creek. Really nice field...Also PRP was mentioned. I played there under the lights one fall and it was looking beautiful.

I would say that St. Henry's field is the nicest in NKY......

I think Shelby County's new fields (Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Concession Stand and Restrooms) that just opened 2 or 3 years ago, is one of the nicest I've seen in this part of the State. They put a lot of money into that place. It's natural grass and it is very well maintained. I only hope the put together a good endowment fund to keep it looking that good into the future.
