2026 Cincinnati Reds

I hope this year's Reds are not like the Bengals (unable to stop the other team from scoring).

Reds sign Eugenio Suarez. One year $15M with a mutual option. Nice, needed signing.

The problem will be with the Reds scoring.

Probably, but I was hoping the Reds could continue that "football-like" scoring from earlier in the week.

Reds have announced the opening day starter.

No surprise, it should have been him over Greene all along.

Still confused on how to watch the Reds this season.  Will I be able to watch them on YouTube TV?

I have been a huge fan of Hunter Greene.  Loved the contract extension he got years ago for him and the team. Been a supporter through all the injuries and failures in big moments. I can’t do it anymore.  The rumors of not wanting to come back after being medically cleared last summer which led to him taking several more weeks to rehab.  Plus fast forward to this spring and the elbow issue that will have him sidelined until at least July.   Based on all reports out there it does not appear he was upfront and forthcoming with the team about his health dating back to last fall.  I usually side with players but I feel like Hunter has put the entire organization in a tough spot this spring and I blame him.  I am now hoping he gets healthy and stays healthy long enough for the Reds to trade him during the off season.

According to my latest email from Altafiber, the negotiations "are continuing to go well" between MLB-TV and Altafiber.

As of right now, no.  No different than last year.  However, they are trying to negotiate with more providers for this year.

Just announced from altafiber:

March 16, 2026 – altafiber has reached a long-term agreement with Major League Baseball to broadcast Cincinnati Reds Games. This agreement includes live games as well as pre‑ and post‑game coverage, and you can catch everything on Channel 24. The channel will be live on March 25th. Opening day is March 26th at 4:10pm.

Also from last month from the Reds:

A new era of watching Reds baseball is here, and Reds.TV has you covered all season long.

The Reds.TV Seasonal Package, which allows fans to stream regular-season games in the Reds home territory with no blackouts (subject to national exclusivities), is available for $99.99, so subscribe now!

Eugenio Suarez with the game winning double in the 9th inning to lead Venezuela to a upset victory over the U.S. 3-2 in the World Baseball Classic championship game.

Hoping Eugenio has many of the same type of moments this year for the Reds.

From WCPO 9:

Opening Day is on the way, but how much will it cost to watch the Cincinnati Reds this season?

While you'll no longer need a cable subscription to see the team's locally produced games, you'll still spend a pretty penny if you're dedicated to catching every inning.

=============

This is a very informative article by Taylor Nimmo on the Reds this year, bottom line is you need multiple subscriptions and this article breaks it all down:
