It is a great place to invest in.

It will be before February.

So this decision has left a qualified Coach in the building and a qualified Scott legend out of thr mix. Question is do they go somewhere else? Or back to where they were before?

Again I’ll ask. If the KOE won’t allow new hires until February, how did the other schools already announce new coaches?

I'm just a lowly educator in another district. I don't pretend to really understand. But a friend explained to me that the official rule from KDE is often ignored, or can be circumvented by hiring for an open position for this school year. Regardless. The way they understood and explained it to me, is that Kenton County would not be permitting schools to break this rule, and Feb 1 is the date. I don't know if that's good info or not. Just what I have heard.

Looking at the last few hires in NKY in the Kenton County District. Joe Wynn last year was announced January 9th. Justin Franklin when he got the Scott job two years ago was announced on January 26th. Patrick Burke at Dixie was announced January 31st. Jake Owen who Scott hired 3 years ago and lasted only 6 months was announced on February 1st. So most of the hires lately were by or on that February 1st date except for Simon Kenton last year. 

Being that he's has been seen at the locker room and on campus during the break. I'm guessing they have to wait till the "Official Date" to announce this. 

To me this makes no sense what so ever. They have essentially wasted 3 to 4 weeks of time that he could be around the kids. But given their history of hires lately. Being behind the 8 ball is becoming a common theme.

I wish Dustin nothing but the best!! This is a tough road to navigate.

What are the Scott faithful's feelings on this hire? I have no clue on the “new hire”, but hopefully he can can start getting some by in from the community and former players.

Thought you may have some information with him having been at NCC before he went to Bellevue. 

I wonder if he will tap into the Bellevue and NCC coaches to bring them with him? Or will he keep some of the old staff? Coaches are becoming harder and harder to find.

As much as I pay attention to the Breds my attention span can't handle the intricacies of assistant coaches. I hope he does a good job.

All of these other schools announcing their Head Coaches and the one that has had their choice the longest is still crickets. Are they starting to second guess their choice? Or are they just stalling for some reason? 

It's a shame because the kids are the one's suffering. They are wasting valuable time to make connections. Not only with the kids but the community and school as well.

After watching for some years, if Scott's athletic department doesn't fumble the ball completely on things like this, then they have a long standing record of at least stumbling and tripping all over themselves on the way to the end zone.

The program appears to be starting winter weights.
