Texas 16 Kentucky 13 (OT)

Loss is 100% on Stoops.

I am happy with Boley and I think he is something to build on/around.

I agree with that!

The lack of imagination by Stoops and Hamdan on 1st and goal is mind boggling. Twice you try to jump over the best dline in the country and twice you’re stone walled. We didn’t have Walter Payton or Herschel Walker back there. In excusable. I agree with going for the touchdown. Give Boley the option on both plays to make a paly

Only Kentucky could lose a game with stats like this!

First Downs: Kentucky 26 Texas 8

Total yards: Kentucky 395 Texas 179

Passing Yards: Kentucky 258 Texas 132

Rushing Yards: Kentucky 137 Texas 47

Penalties: Kentucky 3-25 Texas 7-50

Turnovers: Kentucky 1 Texas 0

Total Plays: Kentucky 86 Texas 55

Time of Possession: Kentucky 39:23 Texas 20:37

Observations.

A. UK’s defense played lights out.  Gave the offense a 2-1 TOP advantage. Played well enough to win the game if..

2. The OT play calling hadn’t been so lame.  Spread the field, give the defense more than one option to stop.

D. Arch Manning is not all that.  Not even close.  I guess there’s a reason he sat for two years behind a seventh-round pick by the dysfunctional Miami Dolphins.

Play action & roll Boley out. Extend the sideline. Something.

There was just no imagination there.

I'm afraid this is the high point of the season. Tennessee is going to suck all of the good will and morale built up in the fans and team out of us next week.

There are still three winnable games left on the schedule if the team shows up like tonight. I just think after next week, the fire Stoops writing will be on the wall and players will have portal on their mind.

I didn't like the decision to go for it on 4th down because I knew we'd run the same stupid play.  Also, on a night when Arch Manning couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and our defense was playing well, I think you leave it to them to hold Texas to 3 points and let's just continue to 2 OTs.

I didn't mind the first and second down playcalls but everything after that encapsulates why I'm just done with Stoops leading this program.  No imagination.

Have never seen a QB in goal line offense almost squat down barking the signals giving all of the D a clear view of the backfield.  What is that about?

I noticed how low he got as well. I’ve never seen it before. Wonder if it’s just what he does or he’s being coached to do that. Still ridiculous not to have him roll out instead of challenging the best d-line in the country to 3 straight up the middle plays. Also the running back has to be aware that he’d have to Jump 6-9 feet to break the plain of the goal line.

Very disappointed in the coaching staff in this one, great crowd that supported throughout the entire game and overtime, just thinking that Stoops should have been fired overnight for lack of confidence in this team, defensively we played great, Boley is our man now and that is obvious, the OleMiss game and last night’s game were wins for a program with proper leadership!! Just plain and simple we have to have a change and personally think it should have happened today!
