Final from Fort Thomas a good game but its early and a lot of mistakes by both teams. They both will improve. Congratulations to the Bluebirds on a hard-fought victory! It is on to Trinity for the Broncos.

Whew. Here’s to hoping we see that final play call a lot this year.

Good job Highlands. I doubted the heck outta the Broncos, and they showed they might have something after all. Offense is the Achilles Heel, but they proved that with time they will be up to the task. DEFENSE HELLUVA JOB!

Good luck on your season Bluebirds!

Great game to start the season. Both teams had chances to win it. Everybody in the building knew 22 was getting the ball and he still walked into the end zone.

That was a fun, competitive game, congrats to both teams!

Thanks @InsideSlant for the great updates.

It also looked like Highlands beat Douglass on the formation.

OMG flashback to Ed Jucker's cardiac kids. Guys I had a quad bypass and got a pacemaker last year so thanks for the stress test. Blue koolaid all around.

If my 5 year old daughter was calling the offensive plays Highlands would have won 45-7.

Fun game. Had to watch the overtimes with no sound. The screaming by the announcer on every play was way over the top.

IT IS 2ND AND GOAL AT THE 4!!!

Anybody have an update on Cale Harris?  He took a heck of a shot in the 2nd OT.

Currently on ESPN is a great showcasing Lee Corso. It is worth a watch I'm sure it will be replayed.

I know I think I busted at least one eardrum. lol

I nearly passed out twice in OT.

It is a win and I need my rest.

Go Birds!

Tip of the hat to Douglass. They played a great game.

Tayden Lorenzen is the real deal. Gabe Williams is the real deal. Highlands Defense is the real deal. Rio barely got a chance to show what he can do but still had a TD toss. Coaching staff came through in clutch with the right calls in overtime. Highlands got it done.

Congrats to the Birds! Broncos good showing on the road.
