Even more wow.  What happened?

Duke dribbled off their leg a few times, took a lot of rushed shots, and couldn't grab an offensive rebound but they did hit several free throws which kept them ahead until the last few seconds.

All time choke job by Duke.  Houston refused to give up though.  I thought when they were called for the technical that they were finished.

I don't think you all are giving Houston the credit they deserve. Their defense was unbelievable. There was no Duke choking or collapse. Houston won that game. They earned it. Duke didn't dribble ball

Sure, Houston deserves the credit for winning but what did they do to get down 14 points with 9 remaining and down 9 with 3 remaining? Would certainly have to be considered a total collapse by Duke fo

Duke was up 6 with the ball under 50 seconds left and still lost. What a collapse by Duke and what a comeback by Houston.

I totally agree. Duke was out of their element most of the first half and other times, most notably at the end. Houston was the reason defensively.

Absolutely, but Duke still had the opportunity to handle the pressure better and use better ball handling to protect the ball. Houston played great and forced Duke to play very un-Duke like most of the 2nd half.

As I said above they never had but 1 game in the ACC from late December until March that was a 6 point or less and they lost it. They only 3 other games decided by 6 or less and lost 2 of those and 1 win which was at home vs. Auburn. In the last :35 seconds you get outscored 9-0 it is not all just the other team. You did not play strong missed a front end of the bonus and did the one thing you cannot do with the lead is foul over 85' away from the basket and let them go down and hit two FT's to get the lead.

I also think when you get 1 basket the last 10+ of the game you are playing not to lose instead of playing to win.

I’ve been telling whoever would listen for some time now that Houston would win it  all. We’ll see.

Stat that defines this game for me - 7'2" Malauch had ZERO rebounds.

This game was Houston's men versus Duke's boys. That stat shows strength, experience and toughness beat talent.

Duke had a season in the weak ACC where the had 1 game in league play that was less than 6 points and they lost it. This season they had 4 games decided by 6 points or less and lost 3 of those 4 and it showed tonight down the stretch.

In those 4 games their 1 win was a 6-point win over Auburn at home. There 3 losses were too Kentucky, Kansas (on neutral courts) and Clemson at Clemson.

Your obsession with the ACC is incredible. ?

Duke one made FG (a Flagg 3) in last 10 minutes...amazing!

This is the only stat that matters. You won’t beat any decent team like this, much less one as good as Houston.

Did I say anything that was not true. I could say the same about you and the SEC I remember the post that you get in "That it just means more"?‍♂️?

Houston definitely gets credit for their fight and locking down the last ten minutes, and making plays.

With that said, Duke had the ball up 6 with under 50 seconds left. A team should not lose in that scenario unless they make mistakes. Which Duke first then missed a shot (great defense by Houston.) Then Duke still up 6 with just 30 seconds to go, allowed Houston to get a clean look from 3 which should never happen in that scenario. Then turns the ball over on the in bounds, allows an offensive rebound for a score off a missed three by Houston. Then misses the front end of a one and one and not only that gets called for a rebound on the miss allowing Houston free throws to get the lead. So yes Houston definitely gets credit for making plays when they had to, however Dukes mistakes especially in the last minute is still a big reason why they lost.
