The Bengals are projected to have 50 million or more under the salary cap this off season, which is the 11th most money available to spend this off season. That is not even counting guys they may cut to make it even more like Hubbard, Pratt, Rankins. Cutting those 3 alone creates close to 20 million. So the Bengals will have money to spend still even after extending Chase, and most likely Hendrickson. The big question is what they do with Higgins, but they have money to spend. Just depends on how and who they spend it on.

I was just about to reply this. The cuts are almost spot on too. Hubbard gets restructured at the very least, Rankins is cut, etc.

Probably a good thing, as the Bengals had the third-highest payroll of 2024.  In fact, 3 of the top 4 payrolls in the league were AFC North.

On Burton, this is from CincyJungle.com and I am not sure if it directly from the police report or from the Enquirer.

The two had been out together and argued before the incident in the woman’s Oakley neighborhood apartment, reports show. After the night out, police were called and the woman said Burton met her at her apartment, chased her inside, damaged her phone and assaulted her, including choking her. The caller said before leaving, Burton held a knife to his neck and threatened to kill himself.

Sounds like he needs help that the Bengals can assist with financially, but can't provide.  He doesn't need to be on a field for, Cincy or anyone else, until his head is right.

I saw that on Saleh.  I wish the other guys were coming from better situations. Hopefully we interview more coaches.

I'm just quasi excited they are looking outside.  When they let Lou go, I had a sinking feeling they'd just promote from within.   Still stuck in 1990s Bengal mode.

Geno Stone - Chance of being cut 45% cap savings $6.5M
