It now looks like the Cap going up at least 22 million to as much as 27 million over last years there should be no reason for the Bengals to keep Chase, Tee, and Hendrickson. If that is what they want to do, that is the question now.

Lou is a good coach and will land somewhere.  But I agree with him being let go.  The defense was consistently mediocre with flashes of really good play.  That side of the ball here needs a new voice.

The Bengals need to do something un-Bengals like. Sign Higgins and Hendrickson ASAP. Get it done before other signings escalate their value.

From the Bengals today:

The Bengals today released DT Sheldon Rankins.

Rankins, a 10th-year player in 2025, played in seven games (all starts) for the Bengals last season. He had signed with the team as an unrestricted free agent in March last year.

==================

I wish Sheldon the best, especially with his health.  However, I am glad the Bengals moved on from him, this one didn't work out.

Speaking of Free Agents, I hope the Bengals find two or three defensive starters when free agency starts next month.

From Google/Fox Sports:

Who are the 10 best NFL free agents available on defense?

Khalil Mack, EDGE.
Osa Odighizuwa, DT.
Charvarius Ward, CB.
D.J. Reed, CB.
Jevon Holland, S.
Josh Sweat, EDGE.
Nick Bolton, LB.
Zack Baun, LB.

Ranked in that order?

It appears as if the info from Google/Fox has been updated a bit but in short ranked in reverse order as listed above meaning Baun is number one.

I'm curious as to what falls under treatment of families and what the top programs do in comparison.

Right, we need some context for sure.

Yeah when you start off reading F- for that and an F for food and dining it looks terrible but they weren't ranked too terrible in most other stuff.

I read today that this included things like gameday childcare for families so WAGs could watch the games and there is not a "family lounge" for families to gather before, during, and after games. It kind of sounds like families are on their own on game day.

Heard some comments by Duke Tobin today. It all sounded good, just what we would hope to hear. Most interesting to me is he said Tee Higgins deal is the one that needs be done first. The other players are officially under contract for the next season so that makes Tee first. He also said the challenge in the free agent and contracts area is not paying the current guys. It is having money to bring in new players. He said we can't bring back the same team. We need to build the team with some new players and need money to be there to make that happen. It is going to be interesting to see how this all plays out over the next couple weeks.
