Why is everyone so dramatic ?? A player demands to be paid X. I don’t feel good about paying X. I say well I hold your rights. So if X will only make you happy. Go out there explore your real options. Come back to be with the number other teams are willing to pay you, while keeping in mind what you mean to me. So my compensation needs to be included. Now, we can have a full transparent conversation about your worth to them, to me, and maybe what it means to just stay. I mean… Seems transparent and logical answer to me.

This. Let the market set the price. 

On their sportstalk show today Tony Pike and Austin went through the NFL sack leaders and the teams of the top 20 or so didn't make the playoffs or lost in round 1.

I like this resigning and I will trust that he has three years left in the tank.

We also resigned BJ Hill and added Pakcers DT, TJ Slaton on a 2 year 15 million dollar deal.

IKR!  I am all for people making as much as they can but the NFL (and sports in general) are out of control.

We signed Eagles LB, Oren Burks to a two year, 5 million dollar deal.

For the entire season, Burks earned an 86.0 grade from Pro Football Focus. It’s worth noting he only logged defensive snaps in 12 games and was mainly a special teams player for the first six weeks before becoming a regular in the linebacker rotation starting in Week 7.

This appears to be a good value signing to me and we are busy on defense with our own and other free agents.

The Bengals are doing what they always do before the draft. Find free agents to feel all the weak points so you can go with the best player available on draft day and not be forced into position shopping. I like the signings.
