I love that the Bengals are playing on Thanksgiving. With that said, what is up with the NFL making the Bengals play a prime time game on the road against the Ravens four years in a row, and also on Thursdays!

Lou is a good coach and will land somewhere.  But I agree with him being let go.  The defense was consistently mediocre with flashes of really good play.  That side of the ball here needs a new voice.

Wow. So shocking to hear you say that! ?

I like the idea of changing the playoff format.

I think place would have went crazy, if the Bengals were hosting that Thanksgiving night game. I think it would have been one of the best atmospheres ever at a Bengals game. As this town down go crazy for big events like that.

What is up when the defending champions can’t get consecutive home games all season?

I like it, too.  Make sure the regular season counts for as much as possible.

From Google:  NFL owners will not be voting on a proposed rules change that would change how playoff teams are seeded. The Detroit Lions withdrew their proposal, seemingly because of lack of support. The proposal was so that NFL teams in each conference are seeded solely by record.

Colin Cowherd just said he thought the Browns would beat the Bengals in week one.  Said the spread will be 3.5 so it is not that big of a prediction.

From Bengals Central on Facebook:

Jermaine Burton may finally be turning the page. After a turbulent rookie season marked by missed meetings, disciplinary benchings, and off-field concerns, the Bengals wide receiver has had an impressive start to the off-season per multiple reports.

Burton has been a consistent presence throughout voluntary minicamp, clearly beginning to establish a routine as a pro.

For Burton talent has never been the question. If the maturity is there this off-season, Burton could add home-run potential to an already LOADED Bengals offense.

The Tush Push is still legal.  From NFL Memes.

Not me. I’m glad they aren’t changing it. Obviously not all divisions are equal in strength. So I think a team at least deserves to know they will get a home playoff game if they win their division. If you don’t win your division, then tough luck you still have a chance to make the playoffs with 3 wild card teams now.

The Bengals should sign Clowney. But they don't care about fixing their dline.

Bengals have used a 1st round pick on a DE 2 of the last 3 years. Now if they end up trading Hendrickson, then yeah getting Clowney could be useful. However, the Bengals biggest issue on the Dline is in the interior, not at ends. Which they actually invested two picks on interior Dline two drafts ago too. So they definitely have been trying to address it, and with so much money tied into the offense. They have to use the draft to try to build the defense.

Clowney has had a nice career.  However, the mere fact that he has been on 6 teams out of the last 7 years should say something.  I'll pass and trust the youth that the Bengals drafted.

Agreed. That is why the only way I consider it is if they do have to trade Trey. Otherwise there is no reason to bring him in.
