TJ Watt free to seek a trade.  Wow!  Cleveland distorted QB contracts and followed up with a repeat by blowing up DE contracts comps.  Getting crazy!

Lou is a good coach and will land somewhere.  But I agree with him being let go.  The defense was consistently mediocre with flashes of really good play.  That side of the ball here needs a new voice.

Trading him for alot of value.

In other Bengals news a civil suit was resolved with former Bengal Joe Mixon and the kid that got shot on his property.

Let me fix that - "current Texan Joe Mixon".

Yup but he was a Bengal when this happened.

ESPN article yesterday talking about potential trade of Hendrickson to Detroit for 2nd and 5th round picks in 2026 draft.  Came across as just a rumor rather than any insightful knowledge.  Hate to think this gets any real traction.

Smart kid if he fills out a waiver to play for Texas A&M this year.

I know I have people at work (older people) complaining about how spoiled these rookies are to want guaranteed money. These players know how much the NFL makes every year and also how much each owner makes every year. I'm all for the players forcing the hands of the teams that draft them.

Maybe I am totally missing something, but isn’t his deal hang-up all about his unwillingness to have any clause in his contract that can eliminate any portion of guaranteed money.  Specifically, things like domestic violence, dui’s, etc.  As previously mentioned, the kind of clause the Bengals wished they had on Pac-Man, Joe Mixon, and others.  I can see where they would not want their #1 pick (perhaps the defensive face of the franchise) to turn out to be an embarrassment as a human being.

Maybe in today’s world gambling violations are at a much heightened risk with every qtr and even every play having prop bet opportunities.

Hendrickson and Stewart are both holding out but I just realized the 2nd round pick Lnight has not signed either that defense has some holes.

Keep in mind that Mims didn't sign his contract until July 22 last year.  I think Knight gets signed in the next week.  Stewart?  Nothing would surprise me with him.

I would love to see that trade happen but I  don't see anyone trading 2 and 5 plus paying Hendrickson $40M.

From the Bengals:

We have signed our second round draft pick LB Demetrius Knight Jr.
