In reality it is. Situations like the one you list are the rare ones. To the extent that we ask why wasn't he eligible? Something went wrong somewhere.

Chuck Smith brought up how easy it was for players to transfer on the Coaches Podcast. He’s not a fan of it.

In Queen's case, with having received varsity minutes and no recent change of address (maybe they have moved to Ft. Mitchell) I assume he is going to need a waiver by the KHSAA. I also assume going from private to public you can pull many diffrent cards to have that waiver approved. Seems if the out of district public school athlete transferring to CCH had no transfer eligibility issues, then Queen shouldn’t either going the opposite direction. But that will have to be determined by the KHSAA.

So looking at what has been confirmed on other teams' schedules (plus using process of elimination for the district games against Owen County and Gallatin County), here's what we have so far for Beechwood's 2025 schedule:

We also know that New Cath is booked up on Sep 12 against Conner and on Aug 22 against Lloyd Memorial, so that means Beechwood's game against New Cath (mentioned here) is either going to be played either on Aug 29 or Oct 31.

Beechwood scheduled their bye week for Week 11 in the 2023-2024 cycle, so there's the possibility that they may try to stick with that.

They've also had Simon Kenton on their schedule for the last 4 seasons, so especially with the RPI bump they get there, I would anticipate that game more than likely staying on the schedule. Simon Kenton currently still has not confirmed any games for Aug 29 or Sep 12.

They've played Campbell County the last 2 seasons. That may be another likely candidate to fill out Beechwood's schedule. Or the Tigers have also played in several Week 1 bowl games over the course of the last half-dozen-or so seasons, so we may see that happening again this year.

I don't think they are playing Campbell County this year and I think New Cath is earlier in the year. I do think Simon Kenton is still on the schedule. I can't recall where I heard that info or if I am right, just seems like I heard that. Just consider that guesses for now.

From the Simon Kenton thread, put the Pioneers into the September 12 slot on Beechwood's schedule. I am thinking New Cath is on August 29. Likely that the October 31 slot will be open so looking for the August 22 opening opponent.
