What will the score be when Beechwood plays the Polar Bears next year?  Will it be 35-0 or more like 28-7?  Just trying to gauge how much they lost and will compared to last year, lol.

Where does Cash Harney live? Doesn't he live in Edgewood also? If correct, he transferred from Beechwood to CCH. Why wouldn't it work the same way moving from CCH to Beechwood?

While true, Beechwood has a number of kids from Boone County on their roster and with the slew of transfers around the 9th region and the state for that matter, over the past few years, I doubt there will be any issue with eligibility.

I agree. The added factor for both Harney and Queen is they played varsity before transferring. Someone who has not played varsity in any sport is free to change schools and be immediately eligible. In KY, an athlete can attend any school they want and be eligible for sports if they have never played varsity, as long as the new school district allows it.

I thought they moved to Elders Delhi West side last year? To be OHIO eligible. Not sure where they landed now.

He was an 8th Grade QB for CCH youth football, went to Elder to play football as a Freshman and during Christmas Break of His Freshman year at Elder, Queen transferred to Cov. Cath. and then just this past Christmas Break as a Sophomore at Cov. Cath., Queen transferred to Beechwood.  He has 2 years of eligibility left in Football.

I thought someone said they’re down the street from Scott.

I just question the entire transfer process. Just seems like different rules for different people.

In recent years it has been go where you want to go. It is very rare that a player is not eligible at the new school.

My granddaughter lives in Morning View and pays tuiton to go to Beechwood

Which isn't an issue.  My kids don't go to their districted school either.  It's the varsity sports aspect and eligibility that comes into play.

It certainly looks that way.  

I have no idea what the rules are any longer on transferring and being eligible.  I mean, to my knowledge nothing has officially changed but in practice it is the wild, wild west now with students changing schools willy-nilly and in some cases even announcing it on X and other platforms.  At this point, I don't see how the KHSAA could in good conscience deny eligibility on any transfer.
