It's been the opposite for me.  I don't think any of these teams are impressive.  But I readily admit that I haven't been as tuned into CFB as a whole. 

I will say that the newness of this playoff is something that will keep my attention for the postseason, so they are accomplishing something there.

No one is what I’d consider dominant and I think that’s what sets it apart from previous seasons. Things have definitely changed though. Indiana not losing more than a game, Florida State being lucky to win a couple games, Arizona State playing like one of college’s best teams when it looked like the Big XII would be fortunate to even get a team in earlier on, and plenty more. More than enough has happened to show interesting changes to say in the least.

The Georgia/Georgia Tech game was an epic, as was SMU/Clemson. Georgia and Texas was a dandy too.

I love the SEC, but I am glad that SMU is in over Bama.  You can't lose 3 conference games and expect to be in the playoffs...I would almost say 3 loss at large bid should not even be considered...but at some point I am sure it will happen!

I also believe that this helps save the conference championships games for now.  While Bama and co are out talking about redoing thier out of conference schedule, had Bama gotten in over SMU, many AD's would have been asking to do away with conference championship games.  

This past Saturday was a great day of college football.  I would hate to see that go away!

The first year of the BCS saw Tennessee defeat Florida St for the National Title. Even though they were ranked #1, Tennessee was not expected to make a run the year after Manning and a cast of others moved on to the NFL.

The first year of the 4 team CFP, saw 4th seed Ohio State pull back to back upsets to win the National Title. This immediately showed that seeding wasn't that important in the CFP.

I wouldn't be shocked if a team ranked (not seeded) in the bottom half won the title this year.

I need to watch closer but other than Oregon no one has stood out to me this year but I am curious why you haven't been as tuned into CFB?  It was the same for me in the past, not as tuned in, but with the playoffs and the spreading around of talent, I am very interested.

I would like to see this, I think it would be good for college football and if so then we should be able to expand to 16 teams almost immediately.

You have some SEC homers, but the overwhelming majority of people believe the committee got it right. This, despite folks being convinced the fix was in. So do we all like the committee today and believe they’re reputable?

I do want to caution people that expanding does not necessarily mean more parity. The argument has always been “1-AA, Division III, etc. make it work.” Yeah, and take a look at their results. It’s dominated even more by a few select teams and conferences. Now, the portal may better even out the playing field, so one could argue college football has timed this well.

I am not sure on the committee and/or the process, I would rather use straight power rankings like this from ESPN.

If #1 kicks the snot out of #16 so be it.  I like the idea of 16 teams for many reasons.
