Great article and I love the video.  The Tigers certainly set their doubters straight. They were by far the best team in that match up.  I am so happy for those boys.

I know you have confidence in your team but for a team that has never won a state title some of their fans were very very cocky!

The best team in 2A is Beechwood by far.

Tough lesson for OC on the finer points of humility and the importance of avoiding supplying the other team with bulletin board material.

Also, shocked and disappointed in OC fans for the blatant cheering when a Beechwood player was injured in the second half. Be better folks…

VOR you are the man.  Since we are giving out recognition I can’t not recognize a few more players who have had great impact for the Tigers all season.  Brady Waddell has been a complete beast on defense and on the o line all season.  Maddox Kelly has led the team in sacks and had a great season and Bo Sowder has stepped in for the injured Brody Aylor after his season ending injury and has been one of their best defenders for the last part of the regular season and the playoffs.  He is only a sophomore and definitely a name you will hear a lot over the next few years in NKY football.  If I left someone out I apologize.  Beechwood has had so many individual standouts all season but the reason they keep winning is they don’t worry about the individual accomplishments they just go out and play for the team.  A lot of people are saying they will have a down year next season because they are losing that talented senior class but I don’t buy it.  Beechwood will be back next year and the next year after that and the year after that…….because the culture that they have created over the years.  Beechwood expects to win a state championship every year and most of the other schools hope to win a state championship.

Last year they took shots at Beechwood saying OC had the “Beechwood path to the finals” and this year they take a jab, downplaying their overall talent. 
 

OC better figure it out and keep it closed or they will forever be left holding the bouquet. 

When you give up over 100 points in State Title games  in over two seasons that’s a recipe for defeat. 

Although I was pulling for OC the underdog...when BW was whatever seed and may have to go on the road for a few playoff games I said it didn't matter what seed , who and where they had to play they would be the better team. CONGRATS to number 18...

Under dog? How is the unbeaten (until yesterday) #1 team all season in AA the underdog exactly?

Quite a few football "experts" bailed on Beechwood after the Covington Catholic game. 

Not understanding the reverse psychology on that one. By the sound of OC and their "interesting" statements all week ... It is pretty much a dead certainty that OC never thought of their selves as the under dog.

I thought the same thing and was actually gonna go over to the club section and raise a little heck but someone pointed out that they were actually cheering and they were on the fan cam on the stadium video board. Horrible timing for a camera crew to try to pump up a crowd, but it was obvious they were cheering for themselves to get on the Jumbotron.

Couldn’t agree more on the unselfish play of this year’s team ALL AROUND.  

Take Beechwood’s QB1, he could have threw for more yards and TD’s this season and his own stats were sacrificed so that the team could be multi-dimensional in so many ways.  At any given time there could have been multiple Beechwood football players that could step up and help in the running game.  Great job on the coaching staff adjusting when needed and thank you QB1 for being the leader you have been over your career at Beechwood.

I can’t leave this thought though on all the big blocks our dudes had all season, there were so many big blocks in this game that helped Beechwood time and time again.  Great job lineman and line coaches!
