I am hearing we may hear something by Friday.  That's a lot of hearing, but the end may be near!

I really haven't heard of any blow back from him. Now in the past from other parents I heard if they hire within then it will a ton of blow back. I just haven't heard of this "blow back" from other parents if it's Ganaway or Rector. In fact everyone is excited that it looks like they won't be hiring within. Either way my kids are staying in the Owensboro System.

There is a coach currently on staff that is an OHS legend. He has been very loyal to the program through the years. And it seems he is going to be passed over in favor of a coach with a losing record. (Ganaway is like 12-32 as a head coach.) Had Rector been hired I could see going in that direction because he at least has a state championship pedigree. I don’t see how they justify passing on the current staff member and bringing Ganaway in with his record. Get your popcorn ready because social media is going to be a circus….

So you think it's for sure Ganaway and not Rector? Ganaway needs to get Cody Mills back from Owensboro Catholic and we do what Primetime did with his son. Graphics, HYPE videos, etc. I don't care if we win a game. We need a big "BUZZ".

Here is the facts about KYHSFB.

IMVHO, there are a lot more good coaches than there are programs.  

...know what? Scratch that. The number of bad programs is the vast majority.

I have absolutely zero dog in this fight, and the coach you're referring to on staff very well may be the choice and the best fit? If so? Go kill it.

In reference to Ganaway being 12-32 & to help prove my aforementioned statement above?

Jackson Arnett is or was heavily in the mix with the Glasgow job (AS HE SHOULD BE). The last few years? He's been an assistant at Boyle. However, ON PAPER and to the NAKED EYE, his W/L record of previous head coaching experience is very similar to Ganaway (while at Ohio). Arnett went 12-27 at Barren, highlighted (and this is what people should pay attention to more with all coaches at less than ideal programs) by a 6 win season, which was the first one in over 15 years at Barren.

Some other examples, and I've alluded to these before, however:

Kevin Wallace- he was in and around 20 games BELOW .500 at Warren East back in the 80's and early 90's before going back to BG as an assistant for a year and then taking over the head job. The rest is history.

Chris McNamee- Pikeville. Back in the mid/late 2000's? He was the HC at Pike County Central where he had 4 straight seasons of 4-7. Four....straight.

Jason Morris- his last year at McLean County he went 0-10 (which is even more impressive about Zach Wagner & what he's been able to do. Both men? Very good coaches)

I could go on with a slew of other examples, but you get the point.  It's not the coach a lot more times than not at most of these programs, it's the program.

It's all about fit with these jobs more times than not. For the school and the coach.
