The Colonels had a tough second round game last year as well. District 6 is a good district. 

The difference from last year is not getting wins against Ryle or Highlands early in the season brings the RPI down this year. District opponents Grant, Harrison, and Holmes being among the bottom 5 RPI schools in District 5 thru 8 also doesn't help.

And Mason is no powerhouse.  Good record, weak schedule, middle of the road 4A squad.

We dropped one spot this week. Grant County dropped one spot, Harrison County and Holmes stayed put. We still have Mason County to play, they improved by 3 spots this week. Then we finish the regular season with Campbell County, who's sitting in 6A with a pretty dismal .46213 RPI and a 2-6 record.

If CovCath were to win against Campbell County, they would get a bump for beating a team from a bigger class.

CCH season ending WP should be 0.87956, about 0.07 higher than this week's. At 35% of the total, that will increase RPI by about 0.02.

Agree, you won’t get big RPI swings late in the season. My only point was CovCath would get a class bump for a potential win over Campbell in the RPI calculation.

The other categories staying equal (which they won't) a 0.02 increase would move CCH up to #7 in this week's RPI.

Yep,  looking like a quarterfinal matchup in Danville this year for the Colonels.

An 8-2 regular season and a couple playoff wins before running into Boyle would be a good season for Cov Cath with as much production as we lost. 

Going to be very interesting to see how the last 2 weeks go in the RPi for Paducah Tilghman, Franklin County, and Boyle, if all 3 win out. 

PT taking 2 hits with Calloway and Russellville to end the season.  Boyle County has 7-1 Wayne County and Frederick Douglas.  Franklin County with Western Hills and GRC.  

Going to be a tight race in RPI points for sure.        

It will be interesting to see how Calloway County's 0.0 Win Percentage hurts Paducah's OWP. Right now their OWP is 0.66833 while Franklin's is 0.60316 and Boyle's is 0.55898. The Russellville won't hurt them as much as it did last year because Russellville is having a better year and despite being 1A it's PT's second game against a lower division so it will count as 4A.

This has been the key thing I've been waiting to see for PT as up until this point they sit at 1 in the RPI really wonder if Calloway will make them drop to 2 from where they are at 0.0 in win percentage. Russellville winning 5 this year helps a lot.

Calloway will really hurt PT's OWP and RPI. Same thing just happened to Beechwood playing a zero win team - Beechwood dropped two places in RPI because of the OWP impact of playing a zero win team.
