Texas Roadhouse and Rafferty's are very good.

I need to get to Jewels. Everyone I know who has been there sings their praises.

Been a while since I've been to Buckheads but I've always had good experiences there.

I like Buckheads too. Always forget that it’s there, and don’t go very often.

Only place I have gone to recently where I dined in was Dave and Busters, in Florence.  Went largely because my daughters and their friends wanted to play games.  That part was fine. The service

If you like fried chicken, the log cabin is hard to beat, my favorite fried chicken by far, takes about 20 minutes with two sides, and portions are huge.

One of the restaurants in Louisville I like is Momma's BBQ. Full name is Momma's Mustard, Pickles & BBQ.

Ribs there were amazing and they have a menu appetizer called the greatest wings ever. I can assure you from experience that they live up to their name.

It's been quite a while since I've been to Pee Wees but the food is always good. For breakfast, I'm a big fan of Sis's on Monmouth in Newport. I spent a few years getting their biscuits and gravy, which are great. But I absolutely love their Southwestern Omelet nowadays.

I will have to check out Sis's. It is hard to find a good breakfast gravy. Maybe I am spoiled by my mom's, which I now am pretty good at making also, but I there isn't any place I can think of that I think has a really good breakfast gravy.

Good place to grab breakfast on a Friday. Usually not a huge crowd, but mostly locals from throughout NKY that enjoy eating there. Definitely not going to find many people passing through and stopping there.

A great "greasy spoon" for after Sunday church breakfast is Granny's Latonia Diner.  An adult order of pancakes is three which fill out a large plate.  My personal favorite is a goetta omelette.  If you are lucky, you can sit in the booth were Robert Redford and Danny Glover sat during the filming of "The Old Man & the Gun" movie.

Has anyone ever had Bards Burgers in Latonia? I have always wanted to try it, but abhor trying to park in that section of Latonia.

I have been there a couple of times.  Very good and well worth trying.

We may be the only people that are not impressed with Bards Burgers.  It did not seem clean to us.  The burgers were average.  The bill for two burgers and two drinks plus tip was over $50.  We prefer Knuk-N-Futz up the hill in Taylor Mill.  Better food, better atmosphere, better price.

No, your not the only ones, service can be iffy as well, one time had great service, last time, we finally left, I will say it was before a Holmes/ Holy Cross game at Holy Cross. The burgers are big, but over priced.

We eat out too much, but when you're always at a field, you almost have to.  I really haven't had too many bad experiences lately that would turn me away from places.  The only couple of gripes I have is the Chipotle in Independence is always out of something when we go there.  The service at Blind Squirrel in Florence is slow.  Staff is friendly, but crowded or not, it takes forever to get your food.

As for City BBQ, I've never had a bad experience at any of the locations.  They're always clean.  The staff is always friendly. The food is always good.

Some of my usual go-to's are O'Bryons in Newport, Barleycorn Brewhouse in Wilder, Dickmans in Ft. Wright, El Rio Grande in Newport, Knuck N Futs in Taylor Mill, Smoke Justis in Covington, and The Gruff in Covington.

What is the attraction to Dickman's? I know the place is very popular. I have been there a couple times and I don't get it.

I’ll never get it either.

When we pass by, the parking lot looks full and we avoid going in.

For me its the wings and all the TVs. Just a solid sports bar.
