Auburn shot the ball terribly. That's players, not coaches. They were well prepared, had a good plan, and executed..... that's how you win.

What was  the meaning of Tre Mitchell patting the air about 10 inches off the ground during the game?   It was something positive, I think, but I haven no idea what it was supposed to signify.

Well prepared...by who? Had a good game plan...who planned it?

Just curious. I haven't played any ball that mattered in 20 years, so I don't remember who usually plans and prepares the team.

He was signifying that some Auburn player was just too small. He was being a great teammate and leader cheering on his boys.

I say UK's defense was a factor in Auburn's poor shooting, even on what seems like open looks. Were those open looks rushed because they knew they had to shoot quickly? Were they from a spot on the floor they don't usually shoot from? Was the Auburn offense out of rhythm because of UK defense? Did all that get into their head and throw them off? 

That's what good defense does. All of the above and impacts even the open looks.

Nah Cal doesn’t coach anyone up. Every player than Cal has coached that made the NBA has came to him NBA ready. Even players that weren’t suppose to be one and done type players, that ended up first round picks wasn’t because of him. Possibly other coaches could get credit for doing such a thing, but Cal just recruits and doesn’t know how to make players better.

From coaching for 39 years I would agree completely with this, the difference between being comfortable and uncomfortable in shooting is a tremendous factor and what we witnessed on Saturday!!  Plus players are a lot more comfortable shooting when in their mind they’re pretty sure if they miss they’re gonna end up with an offensive rebound, something our boys did a lot better job of Saturday also, keep it up guys!!

On a side note, anybody else watched the special with Larry Bird, Isiah Thomas and Reggie Miller??  Just watched it and I’m sick, Bird said he wanted to go to UK but we quit recruiting him!!!!  Wow

He most definitely should. We tend to think Cal has more coaching success with point guards but the improvement of Reeves from just a shooter to someone who can get to the basket, finish at the rim, make floaters and pull-ups, etc. has to be credited to someone. His improvement has been great to watch.

Just in case it wasn’t obvious, I was being very sarcastic. I definitely believe Cal deserves a lot of credit. I believe Cal has developed a lot more players than people are willing to give him credit for.
