Final a heck of game!

I wasn't super excited going into this game but it sure delivered to top off a nice NFL season.

I left work today thinking I’d be in bed around 10pm. I’m still awake, and even though I’m not a fan of either team, I’ll be up all night reading their message boards. 49s had every opportunity to win going away and just did not take advantage.

The two differences in this game was Patrick Mahomes and San Francisco not getting any points on their interception and fumble. Missing the extra point didn’t help San Francisco either. Exciting game as it went on though.

Just to remind everyone there is only one active QB to have beaten Mahomes in the playoffs in his career and it is one Joseph Lee Burrow!

As I've been saying, it's nothing against the Chiefs, but I'm just tired of them.  And legitimately, it was a lot harder to take both Mahomes and Kelce this season.  That's just the way it goes when you're on top too long.  IMO, they should be getting the Patriots treatment now.  EVERYONE hated the Patriots and Tom Brady after they got their success.

Guys I am a Burrow guy and a big time Bengals homer but like him or not it is undeniable that now Mahomes has had the greatest start to a NFL career than anyone in the history of the NFL. He has played 6 seasons he has won his division all 6 years he has been in the AFC title game all 6 seasons. He is now 15-3 all-time in the playoffs he has been to 4 Super Bowls winning 3 of them with 3 Super Bowl MVP's and 2 regular season MVP's. He has 103.5 career regular season passer rating and he has an even better 105.8 playoff passer rating. He has the 1st and 2nd most touchdowns in a post season 10 in 2018 in 3 games and the record of 11 in 2021 in also 3 games. He has rushed for 524 yards for an average of 5.8 a carry and that includes kneel downs. Finally he has the highest yards per game average for his career in NFL history.

The only good thing about the Chiefs winning is another title for Andy Reid.

That's true about the Patriots, but two big differences. 1) Andy Reid is very likable while Belichek wasn't and 2) Patriots caught up in video scandal very early on in their run.

Kelce and Gronk are basically the same version of moron TE as the other. Another factor, right or wrong deserved or not Mahomes doesn't come off as arrogant as Brady did.

I'm not a Chiefs fan at all, my Rams allegiance had me rooting against the 49ers tonight though.

Poor Kyle Shanahan is now 0-2 or 0-3 in the Super Bowl if you count his game as offensive coordinator with the Falcons he lead in double digits in each and lost.

Also don't forget deflate gate as well.

Very entertaining game after halftime.   Chiefs obviously dodged a few bullets to come out on top. 
 

The question I have is a simple one. Would the Niners have gone for it on fourth and goal under the old OT rules?

Also on the rules, I thought the time aspect of it and it counting down right as the Chiefs scored was warping my mind a little.
