Game stats: Kentucky was 41-74-55% 15-26 from 3 for 58% and 12-12 from the line 100%.

                     Vandy was 22-62-36% from 3 11-34=32% and 22-30 from the line 73%.

 

The Cats outrebounded the Vols 50-28.

The turnovers were 12 each. Sheppard had 4 turnovers tonight.

I did as well probably 4 or 5 back for me. I thought he had some positives vs. Tennessee and played well tonight. His line was: 17 points on 5-10 shooting 1-3 from 3 and 6-6 from the line. He had 3 assists and 1 steal. It was strange he did not have a single rebound in the game.

No clue, but I would think the team plane.  Google says it's about a 3.5 hour drive.

I think I saw a story once that the only SEC game they don't fly is to Tennessee in Knoxville. I know that Tennessee came to Rupp Saturday on a charter.

Good question. I know both football and basketball drive to Tennessee (football has made a tradition of stopping at the University of Cumberlands and holding a walkthrough-type practice). I saw a picture of a Kentucky bus at Vandy yesterday so I'm not really sure.

As some of you said, I can't take much from last night's game. Vandy is a bad team. I always get suspicious of hot shooting games because the law of averages normally comes back into play the next game.

What about Cal playing some ZONE on blob plays???!!!!!  Maybe he’s coming around to some ADJUSTMENTS???!!!

I’m with you on the great shooting, it’s like makeup, it covers up a lot of warts but when you don’t have your makeup on your warts are revealed

Or this could be to balance the last 2 games of poor shooting out and we are taking off again.

A lot of Cal's freshman dominated teams have hit a lull about mid way through SEC play..(I think it's the added workload of College Basketball).  Hopefully they have gotten it out of their system and are ready to roll now.

I like to take the pessimistic approach. I relish in my misery. ?

I was glad to see Edwards with a good game...but was even more impressed with Burks and Big Z.  Burks played like Thiero hitting the boards and playing solid defense...and I think the ceiling is really high for Big Z.  

 

First fun game in weeks and I was unable to watch. Glad to see them firing on all cylinders even if it was Vandy.  Still, most points they've scored against Vandy since 1996 (also at Vandy) - that's pretty, pretty, pretty.... good.

Honestly I would take those shooting percentages from the opposing team every game. The big thing was all the fouls and 22 free throws that Vandy made for why they scored so much. Still a lot to work on though.

Big Z definitely has a ton of potential. Just hope we get see him hit a lot of it while he's in Blue and White. I fear we won't.
