Chiefs 17 Ravens 10 (AFC Championship)

Yes, overstatement by me saying officiating had zero to do with the result. My point was I don't think anyone can say officiating cost the Ravens the game. They got outplayed from start to finish.

On Lamar, he had multiple chances late to nake winning plays and he fell short. In the last couple drives, he refused to take what the defense was giving him. There were open receivers he looked past making long pass attempts. You pick your spots. If it is there like the long completion to Flowers, throw it. If it isn't there like a throw into triple coverage for an INT, don't throw it. Take the pass to the open receiver under and get to the next play.

Lamar couldn't get it done. Until he gets it done in a key PLAYOFF game, there are going to be doubts. I hate to say that because I have been a Lamar fan since UL.

  • The Chiefs are the modern day dynasty. They are the kings until they aren’t.  I hate them but those are the facts.

  • I think Andy Reid still, somehow, is vastly undervalued in these situations. Adding him to Mahomes and Kelce and it's easy to see why they have won so many games.

  • Great season Lamar!  MVP!

For what it is worth:

Taylor Swift has generated an equivalent brand value of $331.5 million for the Chiefs and the NFL, Apex Marketing Group tells Front Office Sports (FOS).

The figure includes print, digital, radio, TV, highlights, and social media going back to Swift’s first game in September.

The pop star led the NFL to its highest regular-season viewership among women since it began tracking in 2000.

There are only doubts from Lamar haters. His game speaks for itself, and he can’t win a Super Bowl by himself.

The Chiefs didn't need much help today. ?‍♀️

Ravens were pretty bad.  Chiefs pretty well dominated.

Why is he not getting more pop as an HC candidate? If Dan Quinn can potentially get a 2nd chance, Spagnuolo should be getting interviewed left and right.

He’s done that before (horribly). Quinn at least made a Super Bowl that he should have won.

I am not a Lamar hater, but his play today created doubts for me.

You’re in the camp that unless he wins a Super Bowl you will doubt him. That's a ridiculous standard.

Luckily for him, people like that don’t define who he is as a player.

The Chiefs played like hot garbage against the Raiders a few weeks ago.  I thought they were toast.

Two turnovers in the end zone.  One on Lamar and one not.  Difference in the game.

The better team won and you can never count P.M. out even with bad receivers.

Mahomes deserves a lot of credit, but Rashee Rice is extremely far from a bad receiver, he also has the best TE to every play the game, and lastly, he has arguably the best Offensive Coach in my life time.

I think it threw off Baltimore that the Chiefs came in and brought the aggression early on. They were not used to any team doing that to them, especially at home. They got in their heads and Baltimore played into the Chiefs' trap, finding themselves down by double-digits by the second quarter. It was the first deficit by more than a TD Baltimore had faced all season and they did not know how to react other than by pressing. That was a classic "been there, done that" culture win.

Was he serious with that tweet or was it meant tongue-in-cheek? Flowers pushed the defender back to the ground, stood over him, and spun the ball on top of his head, practically. He earned that 15-yarder.
