I think the Browns are going to be a Bear this year.

Too much of a good trolling opportunity to pass up.

Defensive tackle would very much be in play for me if I was the Bengals. They need an interior pass rush, and where they are picking they could possibly get a good one. Obviously after free agency tho

If T doesn't get a long term contract, it will be because T doesn't want to be in Cincinnati. With the increase in the salary cap, the money is there for a long term deal.

  • Word now is that he's signing a 1 year deal with the Bengals.

It is the first thing I thought of when I saw the graphic.   Then I thought the Bengals are hanging tough in the division.

When did they start having teams do two Thursday night games? I thought everyone only got one Thursday night game, and that every team had to have one. Yet this year there are many teams with two Thursday games, and about 6 teams that don't even have a Thursday night game. I don't remember it being like this before.

My thoughts exactly and I am thinking the NFL made the change this year.  My understanding in the past was like yours, everyone played once on Thursday night and the only "exceptions" for Thursday games were if you played on Turkey Day.

Plus, we know the players are not fond of Thursday games because of the quick turn around.  I think it is the NFL trying to squeeze every last dollar out of their product with no regard for anything but the almighty dollar.  In other words, it is the NFL being the NFL.

Mo Egger on ESPN 1530 says he believes the NFL did this scheduling on purpose this year to push the players into agreeing to an 18th regular season game.

I believe the NFL wants an 18 game schedule but I am not sure I understand the connection here?

Make it painful for the players. Then the union complains to the league about the 3 games in 10 days scheduling. The NFL then negotiates a way to stop the 3 games in 10 days scheduling by adding the 18th regular season game. I believe there are 9 teams this year playing 3 games in 10 days and that happened rarely in previous seasons.

I've read that the goal of the 18 game season is to include a second bye week.   That would push the SuperBowl back to President's Day weekend, which would give most of the country a SuperBowl Monday off work.

And more chances of there being some really cold and snowy late season and playoff games in cities having stadiums without domes.  ?❄️

It is now being reported that Tee Higgins will sign his franchise tag as early as today and will be at training camp. That is good news.

Good news but also expected. Higgins wasn’t going to sit out this year and turn down over 21 million dollars.

True I am just glad he done it before training camp maybe they can have everyone healthy at camp this year for a change. lol

Tee Higgins being at training camp is IMO credit to Zac Taylor's training camp approach. Tee knows Taylor isn't grinding players down in training camp so no problem showing up.

(Side note: my wife sat next to Zac Taylor, across the aisle, on a flight Monday morning. She had no clue who he was till they got off the plane and one of the other passengers started talking to him.)

This was expected. It looks like now it is official according to Ian Rapoport.

The Cincinnati Bengals and wide receiver Tee Higgins have been gridlocked in contract negotiations throughout the offseason, and it appears they won't agree to a new deal.

Per NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the Bengals and the 25-year-old wideout will not reach an extension before Monday's deadline.

Monday September 23.   Corey Dillon and Tim Krumrie enter the Ring of Honor. A richly deserved honor for both men.

The Cincinnati Bengals started the week with great news.  Quarterback Joe Burrow has reportedly been cleared for full contact and can participate in the preseason games.
