I know right, that would be fantastic and every "bowl game" that was a part of it would be a big deal. 

I’m the idiot UK fan that stays up to watch them play Ole Miss at 9pm on a Tuesday so I would be heavily invested if they made the 17-32 tournament. I believe many people would as well, it would just take the financiers of the various lower tier bowls to make it work. Financially I think it would be a huge success.

I would be interested no matter what time or day the game is played.  I routinely watch Formula 1 races live at all different times because they race in different countries each week.  

But more to your point.  If UK and Ole Miss were playing in the 17-32 tournament it would command a prime time tv slot.

Why hate on the bowl games? If you don't like a game, here is a thought...don't watch it.

Some of the most fun games that I've ever watched were random bowl games between two teams that I didn't follow.

A coach just said this week, that one advantage of players opting out was that the kids that do stay WANT to play and are excited to do so.

I've watched all of or at least some of nearly every bowl game. I've yet to see a team that didn't look like they were playing to win.

More Football is always better than Less Football, in my opinion.

In 1993 there were 19 bowl games.

In 2023 there are 43 bowl games.

I think it is a commentary on America, if some is good, more must be better, lol. 

I know it's unpopular among traditionalists, but I don't think the bowls need saving. Any post season game that doesn't figure in the National Championship just isn't that important. Not many people (including players and coaches)are all that interested in seeing two 7-5 teams battle it out on Dec 30th. I'd be in favor of expanding to 16 teams. That's 15 extra games that all mean something. Anything beyond that just isn't important.

I am starting a campaign to save the "Pop Tarts Bowl"!

I wish I  could say these bowl results have some meaning, but they don't. I  was interested in seeing Georgia FSU. Then I see a boatload of players not playing so this game has little to no connection to what these teams were this year.

FSU not withstanding, there have been some very enjoyable bowl games this week.
