Steelers 16 Bengals 10

I didn't understand why Mixon wasn't being used more, especially considering the weather and how this game was going.  I mean, 8 carries?  That's downright criminal.

The Bengals had a grand total of 37 (26 throws and 11 rushes) plays today. 10 of those plays came on 3rd down (2-10 btw). Mixon had 16 yards on 8 carries with a long of 4. He clearly wasn't being efficient and the situations didn't really lend themselves to running more. The holes were there on some plays and Mixon just doesn't hit them like he used to. What I don't understand is where are the other backs like Williams or Brown?

Hard for me to see the Bengals scoring more than 16 points the rest of the way this year in any of their games.

Steelers defense was minus  5 starters.

And the Bengals were minus a top 5 player in the league.

One of the most boring football games I have ever had the misfortune to watch.   Sadly, one of those teams may make the playoffs.

It won’t be the one from Cincinnati

Most concerning thing about this game was the defense giving up over 400 yards.

Defense hasn’t been good this year. However, the offense has done nothing all season really to help them out.

Our beloved Domata Peko in the house today.

To be fair Watt does that to basically everyone and a few of those weren’t on Williams. Twice I believe Sample was suppose to block out on him and Williams the inside guy, and instead they just both left him completely free lol. Just really nothing good about the offense.

Honestly I think this also shows more on Taylor as a play caller. Other teams have had to play with backup QBs this year too and they still find ways to at least look half way decent on offense. Yet Taylor’s track record as a play caller without Burrow isn’t good at all.

His last sack he was unblocked. No one there at all. Mcpapa could have gotten the sack there.

I think the back of Williams’ jersey says Red-Headed Stepchild.

At least we didn’t have to suffer through Giants-Patriots.

Taylor isn’t alone in that regard.  Just ask that coach in Foxboro.

When he had time, Browning made some good throws.  I didn't have as much issue with the play calling as I did with the game plan in general.  Taylor is stubborn in changing up what they do.  No matter if it's a hurt Burrow or a backup QB.
