At the beginning of the year, I clearly stated that they trenches is where Mayfield is weakest (If there is such a thing, lol).  Watching their progress this season has been a real positive for them.  They seem to have figured it out.  Mayfield O-line should prepare to deal with #11 Hardge!  This kid is a man child. He brings all kinds of disruption and, to me, is the best defensive player on LCA's roster. 

I will agree, game will be won in the trenches and box play on both sides.  Mayfield is a master of gaining the edge for Starks.  Hensley averages a "first down" (10.5 yards) every time he touches the ball ?.  Coach... that's SPECIAL.  Side note: if LCA wins state, Hensley has my vote for Mr. Kentucky

It's going to be a really good game! Can't wait.

  For sure PT. They didn’t have a weakness on the field from what I’ve seen. Speed all over the place. Their defensive line might be one of the best in KY. They have Big guys on the defensive line that can chase you with the speed they have. PT will be in the state championship this year. I just wish mayfield played them in the last game of the season.

 It would definitely help prepare them for the better teams in the playoffs.

Even if Mayfield wins the state title this year it will be their longest drought ever since winning their first in 1977. Mayfield has never went over 7 years without winning one. Last years one point loss in the title game made the 7 year mark. Since playing in their first title game in 1976 Mayfield has played in 25 state championship games in 47 years, meaning they play for a state title more often than not. With that being said, they have a long road to hoe to get back to Kroger Field this year, much less win the whole thing.

No offense ...but you do realize that LCA is a running team this year, right? Not sure that helps Mayfield at all.

This isn't the same LCA team that gave up running the football last year... while they were gaining solid yardage all game against Mayfield.

I sense a lot of concern from Mayfield about Boley ....not near as much about the running back. Heck, Boley is even under center quite a bit this year.

If Mayfield overlooks Hensley for Boley ... its going to be a long night.

Why? So Hensley can go for 250+? No clue why anyone from Mayfield would rather have the ball in Hensley's hands as opposed to Boley's.

LCA lost last year because they abandoned the run in favor of the pass.

NWS hour by hour forecast has rain dropping off around 5 p.m. after raining all day. 

Sounds like rain could help LCA with their OL and stud RB! If I am Mayfield I am hoping it doesn’t rain as that’s their advantage- speed at the skill positions!

I am not for sure if he runs up the middle, outside or what. And if that field is grass or turf, his cuts will be limited. It’s going to slow any back down.

From what I have seen of Hensley, he is more about speed and power than cuts.

That would be the worst possible thing for Mayfield. Mayfield needs their passing game way more than LCA needs theirs. Mayfield needs to be able to get out in space and make cuts and utilize their speed. A watered down field or rain during the game would virtually ensure an LCA victory in my eyes. Mayfield does not want to get into a game that is played between the hashes with LCA.
