Beechwood's second opponent in their new district alignment is the Walton-Verona Bearcats. Pre-season, this looked like the toughest opponent for Beechwood in this district. However, injuries have riddled the Bearcats and their season is now looking like a rebuild for next year. Beechwood is hitting on all cylinders and was able to get to a running clock score with 7:39 to go in the second quarter in their first district game last week. That led to a lot of playing time for backups. Walton-Verona lost in lopsided fashion last week. What should we look for in this contest?

First half running clock.

I have to agree 100%. I have seen Walton a lot over the years and this is first time I remember them being beaten the way they have this year. I hate to hear about the injuries that have happened because I was looking forward to this matchup this year.

Beechwood should RC rest of season and first 3 rounds of playoffs.

Walton is down the starting and backup QBs

All three starting WR

Both starting CB

Starting safety

Starting LB

This is just off the top of my head. I am sure there are others injured as well. This is going to be a very long rest of the season for Walton.

Also all injuries mentioned are season ending.

Prayers to all for speedy recoveries... this is heartbreaking for the Seniors.

What a difficult year for WV.  That’s really bad luck and unexplainable. Best wishes to the Bearcats for keeping morale up while down so many key players.

Unfortunately this could get ugly early. Coach Barth's squad has been eaten up by the injury bug.

Injuries have declawed the Bearcats.

Rumor mill says next season could bring entire new coaching staff for WV... anyone have any more info?

This one gets ugly quick.  Beechwood by whatever they want.

Where is the current coaching staff going?

I heard down the road to Gallatin co. The main issue at Walton is there is no Hometown Pizza. Gallatin, Owenton and Carrollton all have that. It’s pretty darn good, but enough for an entire coaching staff to leave? I’d entertain the idea if I was the HC for that reason alone.
