Tremendous game between two evenly matched teams.  Congrats everyone.

 

Bowling Green’s defense stinks and I have a hard time believing they’re going to stay the favorites to win 5A as it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.  I’d also like to see a picture or screenshot of Barber stepping out on the could’ve been TD pass at the end of the game, definitely didn’t look out on stream.

I don’t think he stepped out of bounds, personally. But that being said, throwing the ball right there with that short of time isn’t a sound decision to me. Hindsight is what it is,   but that’s a tough one to swallow. 

Congrats to Bryan Station on the W!. Would love to see a still shot of the step out of bounds. BG might have been robbed of a TD.

Great win and game. BG with a lot of work to do. I need an ice bath and a week off.

Agreed, their kicker is able to kick field goals from that distance as well.  Was a dumb decision no matter the previous call.

I posted two weeks ago that Bowling Green had been 370-0 in their history when scoring 31 or more. Pretty wild they now have suffered two losses in their first three games this season scoring 31+.

Bryan Stations coach gift wrapped a win for BG by not kicking a FG with 2 mins left and then BGs coach said, Hold my beer! 1st down from the 12 with a min to go in a tie game….RUN THE BALL!!

Worst case scenario you run the clock down and attempt a 29 yd FG for the win. If you miss you’re tied and heading to OT.

BG is going to be fine. Between the number of players out, the ridiculous holding non-calls, and a couple of big key moment mistakes this game doesn’t hurt BG.

BG is playing the long game for the state championship.

I actually liked that call given how much time was left.

The stream broadcast blocked the foot placement with the scoring graphic so I couldn’t tell.

ref was right there though, hope he saw it clearly to make that call.

Awful play call on the goal line at the end of the game for the Purples.
