I am not taking anything away from PT, they are as advertised, from what I viewed they played better than us. Congratulations PT

Mayfield had their chances but couldn't get it done. I think they were in the red zone 3 times in the second half and came away with nothing. PT's defense rose to occasion those times.

The Carter kid has some speed that's for sure, made our guys look slow, which their not.

Well did Coaches Saban,Sanders,Smart,Thomas ,Richard and Harold show up?

I hate that we lost this game. But I was genuinely glad for the Paducah program and their entire fanbase. Every Tilghman fan that we were sitting with showed nothing but class in their big victory. We just watched the entire city, or so it seemed, dance on the field after the game. It was a very big win, and they earned it. Win them all from here on out big blue!

I think it's great the students are doing it, didn't know that or I would not have commented. Hopefully they continue to learn each week and the games get better and better as they go.

100% agree. In years past it almost seems as if after they lose to Mayfield they just don’t care as much or take weeks off. Last year for example, they did play two good teams after they played Mayfield but I feel like those games should’ve been closer than they were and then they lost to Hoptown which definitely should not have happened. Then when they got to the playoffs and their backs were against the wall they turned it back on and went toe to toe with the eventual undefeated state champion CAL that won all their other 14 games by 35 or more. I guess what I’m trying to say in this very unnecessary long winded post is that I hope they keep their eyes on the prize every game from here on out and realize how good they can be and make it a reality. They got the Mayfield monkey off their back, now go show the rest of the state how good you really are. Will it be extremely tough to knock off Boyle and Corbin and CovCath? Sure. But if they play to their ability and stay disciplined it can definitely be done! Great win tonight! The better team won. I root for Tilghman every game except once a year haha but that games over with. Now go get em and make West KY proud.
 

Mayfield lived on the Tilghman side of the field in the second half and wiped out a two TD deficit, but couldn't get the stop on defense or a conversion on offense when they needed it most.  And how many 15 yard penalties did PT have again this week, 6 or 7 , that's gotta stop. 

Instead of breaking a 17 game Mayfield winning streak, I prefer to say that Mayfield is 17-1 against PT in the last 18 meetings. 

Congrats to PT.  Their punches thrown were just a little bit harder than Mayfields.  PT defense locked mayfield down their last two possessions and came up with HUGE stops to seal the win.

Silver lining for Mayfield.  Down 14 in the first half.  Still showed the fortitude necessary to get back in the game with a chance to tie it at the end.  Another tough group and they will learn a lot from this game, come out better on the other side.  Defense needs more work than offense IMO.

If Mayfield don't get Brajone Dabney and Xavier Biggers more involved offensively Mayfield will be done in the semis...OC and especially LCA have better passing and BW is getting there...Congrats to PT for doing what you had to do to win. Which was run the ball behind that big offensive line and  attack one side of the field with your passing game.

To all the PT fans that get on here congrats!  We had our chances but I came away feeling like the Blue was just a little better last night.  

Fantastic win for PT in a truly amazing game, with two outstanding teams going toe to toe.  I liken it to watching gladiators battle in the arenas of Ancient Rome.......the officials I believe may have actually been from that same era.  These two teams simply play at a physical level and speed that other high schools can not and that is the reason so much attention from college programs is focused around them.  I am not going to critique the officiating, if you were there you witnessed an honest and admirable effort,  just a game that probably requires knowledge of the levels of talent and emotion surrounding this game.

 I am a PT guy on every level, but have utmost respect for the Mayfield Football Cardinals.  We both have some business to attend to leading into December and I see no reason both teams should not have a trip to Kroger Field on their itineraries.
