Campbell County 56 Scott 6

The game was called early in the fourth quarter after an injury to Scott’s Jordan Hardy.

Hate to see that for Scott, seems like they've had a rough go of it heading into the season.  Hopefully Hardy for Scott is going to be ok.

The game was called due to an injury?

Yes. A potentially very serious one.

CWB does it really need to be said it had to be a very serious injury to call a game that was already over minus time running out? Hope the young man is ok.

Any updates on the player who was hurt? Hopefully he’s ok.

Second hand info but a Scott grad told me it was a neck injury that required a backboard. Prayers for that young man.

Literally 4-5 posts back in this thread.

I didn't read it as wanting any medical info. More confirming what was stated.

It appears that Scott and Campbell County plan to play annually for a while.  Campbell County had the inaugural “Battle of the Bridge” trophy.  I’m not sure it is the best idea after the score of this first game.

Over the last 10 years, I think the series would have been pretty even. Each team would have probably had a couple blowouts. This series tends to be streaky in most other sports where they do play every year, and football will probably be the same way.

I was talking about since then. Was hoping he was doing better today.

I hope the player from Scott is okay. Scary to put it mildly when any injuries like this happen. Thoughts and prayers to the young man, his family, and everyone else involved with him.

Love the idea of trophy rivalry games, it adds something extra to work for during winter workouts.

Campbell doesn't have some long and deep football history. They may have their name on that trophy more times than Scott over the next 10 years, but it won't be by that lopsided score.
