I just temper this with a wait and see attitude.  I still remember another all word #1 pick, Brandon Larson.

I'm with you.

I mean, Larson wasn’t really an all-world #1 draft pick. All draft picks in baseball are a tossup and when you get down in the teens or below it’s even more of a toss up. Elly wasn’t a draft pick at all.

Elly is viewed as a true 5-tool guy with elite speed, which Larson never was. Everyone fell in love with Larson’s 400+ ft triple A homers. Elly was also recently viewed as the top prospect in all of baseball by some important names, but Larson only reached that status within the organization.

I do agree that we have to wait and see how it all pans out, but in the meantime I’m going to have a blast being a fan in exciting times.

I could probably add 30 prospects to this post. Prospects are so over hyped.

But EDLC is different. And his hype is not Reds fans hype. It is legit MLB experts hyped up about him.

Enjoy the ride, we as Reds fans always seem to be waiting on the other shoe to fall. I'm done with that. I'm going to enjoy this run if it last a week, a month, a season or a career.

Sports are supposed to be fun and I'm tired of the constant pessimism around my favorite teams from their fans.

Go EDLC! Go Reds!!!

And Austin Kearns, 7th overall pick.

Yeah, they're on a big run, 28 and 33.

I'm talking about the excitement of EDLC!

To be honest 28-33 is must better than most of you would have predicted at this point.

"That ball had a family"

HR was off a 92 mph pitch at the top of the zone. Triple was of off a 72 mph pitch inside at the knees.

I love that!!!
