Hearing Rash will no longer be in the building in any capacity next year and the new coach ain’t making many friends with the previous staff or players.

Anyone connected have any insights? No posts on Beechwood for 5 weeks.

As for Rash, I was also told he will not be at BW next year.  He was promised an administration position, and that did not occur.

As for the relationship with previous staff and players, I haven't heard much.  For one previous coach, I know he was told he was no longer needed, and that was the extent of things.  I did talk to a current player last week as he was the ump for my baseball game, and he said he really liked the new coachl

One of the reasons I admire the historical and current success Beechwood has had is that they have done it without a ton of "D1" talent. Attempting to call them out for lack of success at the next lev

Cash needs to do what he thinks is best for him. Hopefully he is happy and gets what he is looking for. I wish him the best whether it is Beechwood, Cov Cath or somewhere else.

I have heard the same thing from a Beechwood parent with a player on the team.  That seems like a good thing.  Sounds like the new coach wants it to be his team.  I understand that and applaud the effort.  It's always tough to follow a coach like Rash.  It might be better to be the second coach after Rash.

I can speak to part of this ... how is the new coach and previous staff not getting along?

Coach Volker brought every single Varsity coach back ...

Hergott, Berger, Burnett, Bruno, Fisher, Baugh, Mercer ... D. Mescher is back and he originally planned to finish his final year of college eligibility. A new strength coach has been hired and is an excellent fit.

The kids obviously will always have special feelings for Coach Rash. Interesting thing ... the kids seem to really like Coach Volker as well. So excuse me for being dumbfounded ...so far I haven't seen or heard anything similar to what you claim. I can't speak to the Coach Rash aspect ...I am not in that circle.

Much needed replacement.  The turf was getting rough.

New turf looks good. There also is a new front entrance to the stadium.

Much needed, always love attending games at BW, as the atmosphere is great, but was always underwhelmed of the entrance (especially of late with all the construction and overuse of fencing.)

Now if they can just get a paved walk way and steps from the Kroger parking lot - if they haven’t already.

Isn't there already an entrance to the stadium from Kroger lot? I think there is.

Entrance yes, but last time I walked it, it was a mud/dirt path. Not sure if it’s been updated since then.

I have never understood why Beechwood didn't do just a little bit of work to make it nice.

Agreed, I’m not sure the percentage of fans that come through that gate, but I know just simply the amount of people can’t be small.
