I reached out to this player about doing an interview but each time he failed to get back to me.

I know that it stinks that none of the local schools seem to be showing interest, but UC just got their guy with Gavin Grover (I believe most recruiting sites have him ranked higher than Willie), Kentucky is in talks with a few guys ranked ahead of Willie right now (I think their main priority is Dylan Mesman out of Michigan), and admittedly I know nothing about Louisville football. Willie has some awesome offers and I hope he finds a school that will maximize his abilities.

I finally heard back from this young man. He declined the interview.

I figured as soon as Grover committed to UC over UK Willie would be getting an offer. Would love to see him in blue and white!

And whatever he chooses, on that list or not, I wouldn’t be shocked if he decommits or “opens up” his recruitment after 6 games this year or immediately after, as he’s waiting for TE U to commit to him.

I agree with this. It would not surprise me at all if, after he gets some senior tape out there at this bigger size, that some of the big dogs come calling trying to fill out their class.
