That is just unbelievably impressive, and something that will probably not be matched again. A lot of work with some luck sprinkled in.

I'd honestly say that 2014 was the only one with a little luck, and even that would be reaching.

Keep in mind they played for it in 00 & 09.

So 04, 13, 15, 18, and 21 were the only years they weren't playing in the title game. 15-2 in 22 seasons.

I agree with you LongTimeReader. Trinity is a great program, but if they're trying to continue measuring themselves up against the accomplishments of the guy who currently is (and probably will remain to be) the most successful coach in the history of KY HS football, they're setting themselves up for failure.

Expecting anyone to repeat what Beatty accomplished is ridiculous. Also, hot take here, Trinity's football program will probably never be as good again as it was under Beatty. Same as Highlands, who won't ever be as successful again as they were under Mueller.

I really don't know a lot about the situation so I can't criticize, but this reminds me a lot about the Chuck Servino hire years ago. Sometimes what appears to be a fit, isn't. Also, think Will Wolford here.
