It’s rivalry week in Titletown! Danville makes the 2 mile trip across town to take Boyle County for their first meeting since 2019. Covid issues forced the game to be canceled the last two seasons. Both teams enter the game 2-0. Danville beat Garrard last week 36-0 while Boyle was across town taking care of Bryan Station 36-12. Danville enters the game ranked #7 in 2A and Boyle will remain at #1 in 4A. Neither team lacks pedigree as they have 21 State championships between them, Danville with 11 and Boyle with 10.

Danville will bring in a stingy defense that’s given up an average of 7ppg so far in their first 2 outings. Offensively they will give you a heavy dose of the speedster Demauriah Brown. The ADS don’t have a ton of size or a large roster but they do have athletes that can make plays and give the opposition plenty of headaches.

Boyle’s defense has been no slouch as well giving up an average of 6ppg over the first 2 weeks. Quisenberry has been a ball hawk in the secondary with an INT in each game. On offense the Rebels feature a myriad of weapons. Dawson has shown he can get yards through the air or on the ground, Bodner, Stone and Quisenberry create a 3 headed monster that can line up in numerous positions on the field to create mismatches and exploit weaknesses.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances this town is excited for this game to be played again. Rebel stadium will be the place to be Friday night in Titletown! Which team will come out victorious and enter next week 3-0?

When is the last time Danville beat Boyle County?

Danville won back to back in 2016 and 2017.

Over the last ten meetings, Boyle County 7 Danville 3.

Danville's got the speed to match Boyle. Danville's d-line should be able to consistently win against Boyle's o-line. I'd expect a low scoring affair, something like 14-7 Danville.

Ads are getting better but the leadership factor and discipline is just not at the level we need to compete with higher tier teams like Boyle. If the Ads can limit stupid penalties and get along I think we make it interesting for a half. Should be some good matchups in this one.

I see a lot of people arguing that this is going to be close, but I'm just not seeing it because of the penalty issues for the Ads the last few games.  I think Boyle wins with this one going away.

I don't think Danville can avoid the running clock. It is a rivalry game. Strange things can happen but I  think Boyle is too strong for them.

When you have just played two of the weaker teams in 3A and 4A you get a false sense of team strength,  speed and most of all coaching. After Friday night you can sit down with a true sense of your team's chances of moving forward. Danvllle winning by any score would be a bit of misguided optimism by a loyal fan. Boyle wins by a lot. You can just pray that it is not a running clock.

I think you are right on the money the teams that Danville has beat are not great teams and I think BC wins with a running clock.

Seriously??  Lincoln rushed for almost 200 yards against Danville.  Boyle's oline is a little depleted right now but they are not bad.  Boyle rushed for 240 against Bryan Stations dline.  I think they'll be ok.

Boyle Co. 28-7.

First time I've ever been accused of an Admiral fan ?. I can assure that is not the case, just a neutral observer who enjoys good football.

I don't know how you could have watched that first game against Madison and not wonder about their ability to be effective against better competition.

I think it can be a little misleading to look at volume stats and think that tells the whole story. Also, I'm not saying Boyle's o-line is bad, I just don't think they are at the same level that Boyle County has seen in past years.
