This SW team will have tons of experience by then led by one of the best coaches in the state.  As of now they have some pieces to replace.  Come October they will have found their replacements and be a dangerous team that nobody will want to play in November.

There are two guys, Bottom and Haas. Bottom was the assumed starter when Noon changed positions and he looked pretty good last year as a sophomore. I think he had some minor injury early in the summer and the Haas kid came in and played really really well. I believe its still up in the air.

Small sample size for Bottom. Looked good in 1 game vs. Cooper but not so good vs. Cov Cath or in the rotation with Benke vs. Boone County. Hass won the job outright this spring/summer. Bottom did miss time this summer so didn't get as many reps. If Hass struggles, Bottom should be able to jump in and go. This is to me the position on the team with the most questions marks. Very deep roster in most other positions.

I think the Birds win this one 35-28.

The personnel Highlands has on defense should be very hard to pass on. If the birds can gang tackle on the run the Birds should have a nice shot to win this.

It will be interesting to see if Hayden Haas can keep calm and just get the ball to the playmakers. From what I'm hearing from people inside the coaching staff he can do that. Should be fun. 

Alright. About 90 minutes before kick. Light rain has been coming down for about the last two hours but it has moved out now.

Should be clear rest of night. 76 degrees right now with 83 percent humidity.

Should be a great night at the Rafferty’s Bowl, especially for the main event.

I’ll be heading that way shortly.

I’m glad both of these games are on Saturday!  I’m ready to watch both!
