Don’t sleep on WV as returning some experienced players on both sides of the ball with a dual threat QB! In the 9-12 range IMO but will be tested early so we will see! 1st Scrimmage at Fairdale will tell a lot!

I think Highlands is going to be the team to beat this year their roster is stacked with some good football players.

Noon is a really good player. He should be easily over 1k yards receiving with his size and athleticism if he gets competent QB play (he should with the soph they had in there last year) and coaching (which I’m less sold on).

Giesler should also be very good assuming he has put forth at least some effort training since his time at CCH. He was solid for CCH as a freshman on varsity and should have a good year. He didn’t do much in the playoff game vs the Colonels last year, but that was on the line being terrible than him.

Why are you less sold on the QB coaching at Highlands?

I meant the staff in general. In a small, two game sample size, I was not very impressed. In the first game, I thought they were very unorganized, running players on and off late into the play clock and getting the play in late. 

The second game, I thought when a little adversity hit, I did not think that they fought through it (this was also pointed out by some of their fans on here). Communication and organization on the sideline and effort by your players are two basic things I look at with coaching staffs.

Schematically, I thought they were fine and ran some stuff I like, but I came away liking what the old staff did a little better. Other people may disagree, but I try to be as unbiased as possible when looking at things like that.

I see a couple have Dixie in their 6 to 10 range. I think 8/9 is more likely where they may end up. Almost an entirely new staff, a new defensive and offensive system having to be installed in a period of 5 or so months? I think they may be a season or two out yet. I think Ryle and SK battle for the district title this year in 6A NKY.

Plus they lost a ton of talent.

I've heard nothing but positives about the staff, and it sounds like they're getting more kids to come out.  I'm curious to see how things turn out these next few years.

I really don't see both Cov Cath and Highlands being a middle of the pack type of team like this Preseason prediction poll indicates.  Cov Cath might have lost a lot of talent but I am sure Eddie has that team reloaded.  As far as Highlands this is the year where they really didn't lose a lot of puzzle pieces.  I see the program on the upward trend to the point where anything could happen (on the positive side).

Where do you see them at in the Top 4 as those 4 will be really good? Just curious as everyone has an opinion!

I agree with Cov Cath at the 5. Beechwood at the 1 I think no chance. Both teams lost a lot. I can this year as a rebuild year for both teams.

BW has many players back and some top players like Berger, Campbell, McCormack, Waddell, and their RB- I think they are going to be ok, lol

 Not a rebuild but a RE-LOAD!

Looks like an interesting year in NKY with the wide ranging picks. I'm looking forward to seeing how it shakes out.

Beechwood or Highlands I think.
