Here are the stats as accurately as I can get them without spending an entire afternoon's worth of research. Belfry 8X State Champ,  JC 2x State Champ. 5 or 6 other trips to the finals. Pikeville 6 total Championships. 3 in the  last few seasons. Paintsville 1 Championship. Hazard at least 1 Championship. Breathitt County 3 Championships. Ashland 1 recent championship but I am almost certain there has been more. 

I am counting 7 schools who are in the heart of EKY that have at least one State Championships recently. 

Also depending on how interpret a map you could add Corbin, Somerset, and Middlesboro in that group as well. 

 

Harder to win championships in 5A and 6A where a lot of NKY teams reside and Cov Cath and Highlands have a good share in 5A both Cooper and Ryle have made it to the championship but lost to big Louisville schools. Eatern KY has a lot of good teams most playing in lower divisions which NKY teams in those outside of Beechwood and NCC may not fair as well but I wouldn't say NKY football is poor. A good example would be Pikeville a 6 time champion lost in 2020 or 2021 to Campbell Co in NKY who is 6a and maybe that was there only win that year. It's comparing apples and oranges.

A lot of great programs in Eastern Ky but I don’t think they have more titles than NKy. I believe Conner has won a state championship and Bellevue off the top of my head. Highlands has 23, Beechwood has 15, Cov Cath has 8, NCC has maybe 4. That is not sub par.

Ten N. Ky. schools have won state titles. Six have more than one title.

Since 2000, N. Ky. has won 25 state titles spread among five schools in every class level except 6A. At least three more schools have been in a title game since 2000 including two at the big school level (Dixie, Ryle).

Since 2000

Beechwood 8 titles, 3 runners up

Highlands 9 titles, 2 runners up

New Cath 4 titles, 7 runners up

Cov Cath 3 titles, 1 runner up

Holy Cross 1 title

Ryle 1 runners up

Simon Kenton 1 runners up

Cooper 1 runners up

Dixie 1 runners up

Highlands is 2nd all time titles with 23

Beechwood is 3rd all time with 16

Also, I believe that NKY has been represented in the state championships by at least one team, for every year since 1978.

I wouldn’t exactly call that overrated.

To answer your question, you’re out of line. But love the chaos you have caused with this. 
 

Also, if not for Trinity there is a good chance NKY has multiple state titles at the 6A level in recent memory. EKY does have 3A powers but NKY doesn’t have any teams in that class. Pretty sure EKY does well in 4A too but NKY doesn’t have many teams in that either. 
 

If you would like to say EKY is underrated without disparaging NKY I can get on board with that. Or you can keep causing chaos, which well done. 

After watching SK/CCH if they are in the top five NKY is down.

I'm sure most will look at that score and say what you are saying. Silver lining is that Dixie's defense was on the field almost the entirety of the game, and still found a way to hold the offense to 12 points... and down a key member of their defense. Make the assumption that Dixie is down, that is fair considering what they lost to graduation, but they are not out. This week will be a really big indicator going against a good Cooper squad that will no doubt be hungry for their first win.
