The only thing I can guess is since then the illness going through the clubhouse is wreaking havoc and some guys are playing less than 100%, coupled with the actual injuries. The lineup wasn’t AS bad in that first series. Far from great, but not last in the league awful.

I put that Bull Durham reference right there on the tee for you.....and you whiffed.

The Big Red Machine had a player banned from baseball for breaking the number one cardinal rule, sure shows a lot of respect for the game. Same player has been accused of sleeping with a 15 year

Continuing on Reds attendance. The big drop in attendance for the Reds happened in 2016. They dropped by over 500,000 fans in 2016. They also cut payroll that year by $35,000,000. If you rebuild it, t

You were correct in your earlier post, they stink.

Correct in this one too. They stink less when a third of their roster isn’t sick and injured.

How'd they ever win 2?

It’s a miracle.

Gotta get up pretty early in the morning to slip a hanging curve by this old codger.

I said in another thread that I didn't think they'd be bad enough to get near the 1962 Mets 120 losses, but now, who knows.  :classic_angry:

How were the cold drink sales.

For me personally, pretty good. I had a good location and tips are better because of credit card readers, but the work is much more boring than it used to be in the seats.

Reds attendance from 2019, pre-COVID:

Saturday April 13 vs. St. Louis .... 16,496

Sunday April 14 vs St. Louis .... 16,793

In 2019, outside of Opening Day, the Reds did not hit 20,000 in attendance in a game until May 3.

In 2018, the Reds hosted the Cardinals in a 4 game series April 12-15, not a single game reached 20,000 in attendance.

The 20,500 attendance from last night actually is above average for similar Reds home games in recent years.

Great stats, I probably could have pulled that up on the stats I keep for beers I sell.  I'm a dork.

For Friday's game, I would've thought they'd have less there.

Plus they actually started the season 1-0 winning opening night in Atlanta.?

No Fraley in todays lineup again. He’s far from great, but (not today) they continue to play Aquino… I don’t get it.

The Reds really need to get Bell and Krall locked into a long term deal.  They'll never be able to replace them.

Bell said today that Fraley has been dealing with a knee issue.

Don't look now, but I believe are going to win one!

4Q got me headed in the right direction.

This probably makes me a bad fan but once they got to 11 I was rooting for 13more so they could be historic lol.

I hope they get on a roll now. At this point one W was a huge monkey off the back.
