Survivor 42

Good episode.  Though I hate to see the good players go out at this point.

Lesson of the night - be careful who you share information with - especially when there is no gain in sharing it.

Amen to that. Keep your advantages to yourself. Drea should have just played "let's blindside Mike" to line up votes then snagged the idol from Mike without telling anyone her advantage.

Survivor in 2 hours!

Thanks for picking me up @Bluto.  It's been a week.  Gotta watch tonight's episode late.

Nice episode tonight, one of the better ones this season.

My dad and I share Survivor on the level that we share UK bball. We taped every episode on VHS when they aired it during my HS games soccer or bball games 20 years ago. We talk about it every Thursday if we don't watch together, which were many years worth through college and after.

Lately, I've made a point of watching it together every week now. Dad moved into an assisted living facility and I decided I wont miss episodes with him and then life gets in the way. I was supposed to bring pizza over and I did but then I had to take one of my pups to the vet last min to get meds for kennel cough (he puked everywhere today) and my wife called me as I pulled into the parking lot. Dad understood but I hated it.

Just finished and what a tribal. So glad Lindsay won the stupid Lets Make a Deal thing. Love how Drea tried to steal an idol. Love how Omar convinced him to give up the idol.. Love how they back stabbed her and how she went out. I just really enjoyed that Tribal. Survivor at its best!

Can't wait to talk about it with dad tomorrow. Tough part, he probably won't remember how it all played out but after I remind him, he'll enjoy it again.

Love this show. Excuse any typos.

As soon as she did it, I was like, "Noooooooooo". There was zero reason.

I guess they worry too much about alienating people by not telling them of their arsenal?

I thought about that earlier this season...she had SO many advantages, and one of my thoughts was, "If anyone finds out she has allowed that, she's gone. If anyone finds out she's hidden all of that, either she's gone, or she wins."

So glad Lindsay didn’t do home on the stupid Do or Die they need to get rid of that. Also I was wondering what would have happened if only Jonathon chose to compete I guess no one would have had to do the Do or Die or would he have had to do it and no one would have gotten immunity?

I wondered that too.  I'd hope he wouldn't have to do the Do or Die if he was the only one that chose to compete.

These new players talk way too much.  I don’t know why Drea felt the need to tell Omar she had the knowledge is power advantage.  She read the room wrong and it cost her.  Omar telling Mike about the advantage may cost him in the end.

Agreed.  And every time that person tells someone else.  Lol.  They’d just have to hate me.  I ain’t telling anyone a thing.

Final 6 - 50/50 time.

Its a good time to have an idol and win immunity challenges.

Maryanne

Who had Maryanne in this group at the beginning of the season?  Yet, if she is one of three finalist she will get votes and could very well win.   And, she reloaded her idol after playing her first one with Drea.

Lindsay

Lindsay almost blew her Rich Strike-like run from the middle of the pack to a front runner by electing to compete in the do-or-die immunity challenge.  With the departure of Drea her amulet turns into an idol.   The football playing, self-admittedly loud New Jersey native has to be considered another favorite.

Mike and Omar

Between the two of them they have an idol.  Will Omar give it back to Mike after they played Drea?  If he does he is exposed.  If he does not he may be losing votes even if he reaches the final 3.  One vote Omar does not have is Drea's.  She made sure to throw him under the bus and backed it up since he was the only knew of her advantage.  Mike is deserving of final 3.  However, he will hard time gathering votes against Maryanne and/or Lindsay if they are sitting next to him.

Jonathan

The big guy looks like he came off of a romance novel cover.  He has won the key immunity challenges.  He will need to keep that going to make final three since he is without an idol.  If he does make the final three it is hard to see him gathering more votes than Maryanne or Lindsay.  If he is sitting with Mike, Omar and/or Romeo he should have a chance.

Romeo

He will make final three.  Its hard to see him being voted out at this stage.   But he will almost certainly not win and may not get a vote.
