Survivor Night!

I'm enjoying this season.  The red paint gave me a chuckle.  Kinda like that Drea got caught.

Some of the scenes of Romeo tonight made me think he was a cast member from the movie Apocolypto.  I think it was his earrings when his eyes were pretty big and looking paranoid.

In Season 42, I don't know how people don't catch the person sitting on the sit out bench looking and/or finding the advantage/idol.  Especially when multiple contestants are standing and waiting for their turn to attack the challenge.  I'd be watching that person like a hawk, almost forgetting to jump in the water when it was my turn haha!

 

I have had a hard time getting into this season. But part of that is the fact that Jenny was voted out early and I thought she had chance to go all the way. 

For finalists at this point its hard count out Drea with her 3 idols/advantages,  Tori has proven challenges are her thing so far.  Omar seems to have the game to get to the end. 

I would like to see Jonathan go long but he has to have a target on his back.  Mike could go longer, if he keeps his idol and plays it at right time.  But Drea gets to take an idol.  Will she go after Mike's or Maryannes? 

 

What I think of when the big guy is dominating physical challenges.

I'd have to think she'd take Mike's if she was going to take one of theirs because he comes off as more of a threat but she'll wait longer to do it, assuming they are both still in the game for a while.

I thought Jenny had real potential too.  I'm not sure why, but I think I like this group more than 41 but it does miss the true antagonist that Shan and Ricard tried to be.

I think we may finally see some advantages played this coming week because of the split tribals. If one group has a minority of the big alliance may see extra votes/idols played. 
Also was wondering about this hypothetical: let’s say Drea uses the Knowledge is Power advantage and asks Hai or Lindsay for their amulet. Does hers become more powerful because technically the person didn’t get voted out but she would have their amulet. I was a little confused about what would happen in that scenario.

That's a good question. I'd imagine the producers didn't think of that angle through haha!

Well that escalated pretty quickly. Probst and the Producers probably loved it.

No doubt. Probst loves when those conversations happen, especially when it happens organically.

Its one of the great parts of Survivor.

I found it all pretty interesting because I really don't think the Rocksroy vote was consciously racially motivated.  I also don't really think it was subconsciously racially motivated, but how would I know.  I do think Rocksroy got voted out because he formed a plan that 3 people, before the split even happened, didn't want to do.  Combine that with the fact the they thought Romeo could be an easier vote later, its pretty logical to go after Rocksroy there.  I'd have maybe targeted Mike instead because Rocksroy seems easier too, but it seems like Mike & Hai have a strong alliance.

The thing that I found most interesting about it all, Drea doesn't know any of that (I assume).  Her perception of two African Americans being voted out back to back is her reality, thus her reaction. And that's everyone's reality.  Your perception, combined with what you've experienced in the past, forms your reality.
