Michigan looked bad and I wanted them in the NC. I just HATE the BCS...

Despite his abundance of talent, Jarrett is a punk.

He should have had two unsportsmanlike penalties called on his and been out of the game. The first was when you pointed right at the Michigan defender as he was going in to score. No one else was around, so it was clear that he was taunting. Yet the Michigan player was called for unneccesary roughness. Then, later he made a catch against two Michigan defenders and he got up and set the ball in the lap of the Michigan player.

It's amazing that this gets called in almost every game I've seen it in except this one. Both were blatant taunting moves. On the pointing, both he and the Michigan player should've been flagged. As you said, no one was within 20 yards of him besides the defender. Besides, the refs were constantly talking to him as he and 19 were jawing the whole game. You would've thought that the refs would've said something to him about not letting it get out of control, but apparently not.

Michigan got it handed to them. The sad thing is that a number of people wanted an all Big Ten re-match title game. If that had happened we would never have known that the Big Ten isn't so great after all. If UF hangs with or maybe beats the Buckeyes the true story will be known.

With the BCS as our system the "true story" will never be known.

The BCS correctly dropped Michigan out of a spot in the NC game and then they get spanked by #8 USC. Even when the BCS works, people bash it!

Give me a break. It worked for one game...

Who can now make a credible argument that the wrong teams are playing in the NC game? (And don't tell me undefeated Boise State because it took all they had to beat a mistake-prone 2 loss Oklahoma team).

The last BCS ranking is the only one that truly matters...

Boise State getting a chance to beat Oklahoma which they did, would be a 2nd game.

Boise has every right to play for a NC. They beat the Big 12 Champion...BCS should not be the proper way to crown a champion, bottom line. But...different argument for a different thread.

They both lose their best player. I think both will be very good, but if you look at who has what returning Michigan

has to be the favorite in the Big 11. We'll see if Lloyd can coach them out of it... ;)

That answer would be yes.

While I didn't like the two taunting incidents, either, I think this is unfair. Jarrett has never done that stuff before so it was uncharacteristic, and apparently #19 for Michigan had been jawing at him and Steve Smith the entire first half. All of that is trash, to be sure, but I don't think Jarrett is a Terrell Owens. He was very composed, complimentary and articulate in interviews after the game.

All I can go by is what my eyes see.

But are those eyes wearing Maize&Blue shades?

Hardly. I've put too much of my credibility on here posting that USC deserved the title game ahead of Michigan (prior to the UCLA game of course) to then be rooting for the Lil' Blue.
