Andy Burns and John Anderson from the 81 team.

You could throw in current head coach Kyle Bennett.

I would have to throw in Burns I heard stories about him.

Gaunce was a good ball player and in the past years, Tyler Clark. 3 of those 5 I first mentioned were division 1 players and Shunway was a pure shooter and Bloomfield was a winner. Sorry I didn't mention everyone that played.

Not everyone, they have had some good players, with big numbers and contributions, lately. Both Clark and Billy Howell were 16th region P.O.Y. When did the guys on your list play, I know Bloomfield in the 70's and I think Ralphie Davis was late 50's, never heard of Shunway.

Please don't take this wrong way, just curious, its obvious your older than me and have seen players I have not.

I'd put Sipple or Allen ahead of Mills.

You are probably right, maybe Andrew Parks and Brent Barton as well.

Would Don Turney Cov Cath early 80s make anyones list. Didn't he playD1?

What about the brothers Ross and Brennan Votel for Cov Cath? Ross tried to walk on at Miami of Florida and Brennan plays for Penn...

Big Stick--Billy Howell could have made a good college basketball player if he would have had the heart and desire to do so, but he didn't.Howard Shumate didn't graduate from Lewis Co but moved to Ohio and played there and went to Morehead and played there in the late 40's. Tracy Shunway played in the early 50's and his dad was a preacher and I don't believe he played all 4 years but I'm pretty sure he did graduate from Lewis Co. By the way , it's sad, but I am getting to be an old dude. I sure enjoy this site, very interesting.:thumb:

Chad Mefford from Lewis Co. was a very good player as well. He could probably be on the list. Do you agree Big Bopper?

Neat thread!!!

That is more recent of a team because I never got to see the old players.

No Scott Benton?

No Kyle Bennett?

Over the last decade at CovCath, my choices would be.......

Matt Nestheide

Todd Jacobs

Steve Purdon

Matt Finke

Brennan Votel

Maybe throw in a Hiltz somewhere in there. Anyone else thinks TJ makes the list (since 1996)?

I agree, Nestheide would have average 20 assists a game.

They did have a Nestheide, his name was Jimmy Cooper, whoese Daughter is now the head Coach of the Lady Little Colonels of Dixie.....Don't know the numbers, but he did have a ton of assists per game, and was fun to watch. He would embarrass his defender to no end during a game with his passes, and they all knew it was coming, but he still did it to them..

Man!!! I'd like to have this team when all of them were at the top of their game. What about the kid who was Male's 2nd best player on the team with Griffith? I think his name is Turner. Could he make this list?
