Cats 35/31...Over the Cards this September.

How did I know I'd find something crazy like this in this thread?;)

I don't care who you are (except Clemson), you've got to be happy for UK.

Good luck to the Cards. It will be great for our state to have both of us stomp the ACC in great bowl wins.

If you look at the stats its pretty close. UK just won on the turnover margin and had a big play on the fake punt. Not trying to downgrade the win. But some where saying they dominated the game which isn't true. I am pumped they won and I am looking forward to next season. We will be able to see what Woodson is really mad of. Congrats guys and lets take down the SEC next year.

Ummm....yes it is....very true

Woodson fuels Kentucky to first bowl win in 22 years

The junior completed 20 of 28 passes to finish his breakout season with 31 touchdowns -- more than five times his total from last year. He joins Couch, the former No. 1 NFL draft pick, as the only Wildcats to top the 30-touchdown mark in a season.

-"If he keeps doing this, he's going to play at the next level and play it very well," Woodson's coach Rich Brooks said.

-"I told some of the guys down on the sideline on defense, I said, 'Look guys, look around you," said senior defensive end Durrell White. "'We didn't do nothing but move Commonwealth down here to Nashville."

-"We didn't get any respect coming into this game," said linebacker Wesley Woodyard, who led the Wildcats with 12 tackles. "A lot of people expected our defense to come in and curl up, but that's not a defense. If the game was played on paper, we'd be blown out 50-0."

-"It didn't look like we played very smart," Clemson coach Tommy Bowden said. "We did some things that really cost us as far as turnovers and made some penalties in the red zone."

-"I really think the MVP of this game was the defense," Woodson said.

Rather than punt from deep in Kentucky territory, punter Tim Masthay threw for the first down.

-"If it doesn't work, you're the dumbest guy in the world," Brooks said. " If it works, you get the first down."

Just got finished watching the game, the wonders of DVR, didn't know the outcome until 2:30 in the morning, it's great working with older women, they never talk about sports. UK just plain wanted this game more, they shut down the run, got the lead and finished the deal, great win for the program. Glad to see cornhole got talked about by the broadcast team, I assume it's cornhole since they stated Woodson won a game of throwing "beanbags" in a hole at Joker's house over the summer. This should do UK well in the recruiting game, a full allotment of schollies on the way to Lexington.

One though, and keep in mind I have never really been one to criticise Brooks. If the fake punt would have failed and UK probably would have lost, then how many would have called for his head? Gutsy call. I personaly think it was an audiable because of the pressure they was getting on Tim, he was oging to get blocked if he kicked. I think Brooks see the WR out there and told Tim if you see the kick isnt going to work toss it to the WR and lets see what happens. I sat there in shock after they did that, and while it was going on I was thinking please get it or this game is shot haha. Im very happy wtih the Cats.

Also wished David Jones would have got to play. He has to have a minor surgery on his knee and will be back in 5 to 6 weeks. So I wish David the best, I believe he will really become alot better next year with his pur speed because he will actualy have a off season to work on the WR spot.

No doubt here. If that play doesn't work this could very well be a different thread...

The game is being replayed on ESPN2 right now... 3:47 am Sat morning

And this is why I can't sleep when I get off work on Friday nights. Bowl games I didn't get to pay full attention to on ESPN, ESPN2 and NFLN. Replays get me every week...

Brooks has shown that when given time he can win while doing it the "right" way.

With next year's light upgrade in schedule, we will see a bit more....though their non-conference is flat awful.

My question is this:

Where will Micah play next year?

I said it in game 1 and I'll say it again. Put the kid on the d-line.

^ I think most of us said that in HIGH SCHOOL...it is not a knock on his ability, but more a credit to it....he is an athletic beast.....
